Abstract

277,970. Langbein Pfanhauser Werke Akt.-Ges. Sept. 21, 1926, [Convention date]. Printing-surfaces.-Copper-plated rollers for in. taglio printing are provided with an electrolytically deposited copper coating of a thickness sufficient for one etching only, about 0.1 mm., the coating being dissolved away and a new thin coating deposited when the roller is to be provided with a different design. The copper is preferably deposited on a base of nickel or other metal which is unaffected by the chemical or electrolytic bath employed for removing the deposit, such base being welded, rolled, or electrolytically deposited upon a roller of steel, iron, copper, brass, aluminium, or other metal.
