Levers, locking ; Bowden and like mechanism. -In dual or multiple control devices for Bowden and like mechanism &c., friction clutch.like retaining means for each control lever is' associated with an adjustable nut-ring screwed on to the fulcrum post and bearing against the face of the lever hub either directly or through an interposed non-rotatable washer. A dual control adapted to be fitted to a motor-cycle handle-bar is shown. The levers c, d are rotatably mounted on plain parts of the fulcrum post b and are normally retained in the position in which they are set by frictional engagement respectively with a non-rotatable disc or plate c<6> and the base a of the mounting, the co-engaging surfaces preferably being formed with annular ridges and grooves. The frictional engagement is regulated, in the case of the upper lever c, by a nut-ring c<5> screwed on a theaded part b<1> of the fulcrum post and, in the case of the lower lever, by a nut-ring d<5> screwed on a threaded part b<2> of the post, the upper surface of the member d<5> being recessed to form a seating for the non-rotatable retaining member c'. Non-rotatable washers c<4>, d<4> are preferably interposed to prevent reaction of the levers on the adjusting means. A large headed retaining screw e may be screwed to a dead end in the post b, being accommodated flush or otherwise in the upper adjusting member c<5>, preferably with an interposed non-rotatable washer f allowance being made for adjustment of the rings c<5>, d‹ without detachment of any part of the assembly.
