Abstract
275,390. Bunting, R. S., and Taylor, E. A. July 7, 1926. Grounding aerials.-A filament switch for a wireless receiver is arranged inside a building and connected by Bowden wire mechanism to an external switch arranged in a weatherproof casing and adapted to make and break the connection of an aerial to the receiving set. The Figure shows contacts M2, N2 in the filament circuit resting on an insulating sleeve P and adapted to be electrically connected by a recessed metal sleeve M3 which also serves to hold the Bowden wire H against the pull of the spring F. The Bowden wire operates contact members A5, E6 connecting in the position shown the aerial to earth and in the other position the aerial and earth to the corresponding connections of the set. A spark gap B between the aerial and earth is also provided.
