Abstract

274,900. Fleischer, F. July 23, 1926, [Convention date]. Scenic and like toys.-Apparatus for producing a scenic effect comprises an inclined transparent mirror 4 located behind an opening 2 in a box 1 divided into two compartments or rows of compartments 5, 6. Horizontally arranged below the mirror 4 are stationary or movable glass plates 7, 8, 9 removably held in guides 10 and provided with transparent or non-transparent representations, or forming screens on which kinematograph or other pictures may be optically projected. In each compartment is a lamp 11, 12, or one or more lamps may be located in apertures in the dividing wall 3. The lamps may be switched on alternately by an automatic switch. Over the lamps are removable colour screens 14, 15, and picture plates 17, 18, 19 may be arranged vertically behind the mirror 4. The plates 7, 8, 9 may be interlaced by an endless band 37, Fig. 7, bearing designs or objects and moved by hand or power, and a similar band may be provided in the rear compartment 6. Openings in the sides of the box 1 may be furnished to receive transparencies illuminated by the lamps 11, 12, and further endless bands may produce an effect of motion thereon. The compartment 6 may be illuminated and may consist of the triangular space behind the mirror 4. A lamp may also be arranged over the plates 7, 8, 9. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a), describes also the arrangement of solid objects on the plates 7, 8, 9. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
