Abstract
274,702. Roders, W. Aug. 11, 1926, [Convention date]. Addition to 260,987. Spring shackles; wire springs.-In the apparatus of the parent Specification the bowed spring over which the flexible tension member is guided is replaced by three or more bearing points resiliently connected together and so placed as to obtain an equivalent effect. The flexible member b, Fig. 1, is guided through a coiled spring a of bow shape. In the construction shown in Fig. 3, the member b is led through three helical coils formed in the wire a and not in the same straight line. The flat strip b in the construction shown in Fig. 5 is guided over a helical coil c and over rollers d carried by extensions of the wire from which the coil is wound.
