Show-cards. - In showcards for advertisements &c. having an apertured front backed by a hinged curved reflector which gives to an article represented on or by the aperture the appearance of reality, the article is imitated by a strap a<2> of gelatine, celluloid, mica, &c. affixed across the aperture b, and the backing c is curved behind the strip a<2> and extends on each side of the strip as a flat reflector d<1> which appears to be a mirror, window, &c. The backing c is bent on two scored lines, and the free end slides through a loop on the back of the front a and engages an upstanding ledge.
