Abstract

274,290. Rose, W., and Rose Bros. (Gainsborough), Ltd. Aug. 14, 1926. Packeting by wrapping-up.-Relates to wrapping-machines of the type in which a mould box comprising a fixed side 4, Fig. 1, and a pivoted side 5 with a sliding plunger 7 forming the bottom, receive an article 9 and wrapper 10, during the next intermittent rotation a fixed folder 17 folds down the part 10, and at the next halt a folder 18 turns down the part 20, the side 5 having been moved away against the action of a spring 23 to accommodate the folder 18. In order to prevent the possibility of the portion of the wrapper adjacent to the pivoted side from being inadvertently moved into the position shown at 24, Fig. 2, according to the invention, the side 5 is provided with grooves 25, Figs. 1 and 3, and the plunger 7 with corresponding tongues 26 adapted to occupy the grooves.
