Abstract
273,049. Adams, A. E. April 24, 1926. Gas meters.-In a dry gas meter the slide valves F, F<1> are arranged parallel and close to one ancther and are reciprocated by links S connected to crossing bellcrank levers R which are pivoted to the top plate of the diaphragm casing and are slotted to engage an eccentric pin Q on the spindle of the tangent arm P. The tangent arm P is connected by links O to arms O<2> fixed to the flag wires N which are doubly cranked so as to enable them to be arranged away from the corners of the casing. The tangent arm spindle carries a worm U driving the registering mechanism. The middle ports I of the slide valves communicate with an exhaust passage T.
