Abstract

271,988. Hight, T. G. April 6, 1926. Leaf - holders and turners.- Appliances for music comprise a flat back board 1 on which is pivoted a springy leafholding arm 3, and horizontal arms 15 each secured to the bottom edge of a sheet and pivoted for hand turning in a fitting 17 rotatable on a pin 18 at the lower vertical centre of the 'board. Each arm 15 is bent inwards on itself at 22, and has a spring clip 16 for holding the sheet adapted to slide on both parts and to pivot on the lower part 22. The other end of each arm is bent to afford a vertical portion for insertion in peripheral recesses 17<a> in flanges on the tubular rotatable fitting 17, and is retained by a sleeve 20. A hand-operated lever 15a for turning the leaves is formed at the end of the vertical part. Music may be held between a fixed vertical bar 8 on the back board 1 and a vertical bar 9 moved in horizontal guides on the board against a spring 12 at the rear with pins 13 projecting into the slot by a cam and lever 11. The spring wire 3 may be held retained in a catch 5 at one side of the board and may carry a sliding bar 6 for single sheets.
