Abstract

271,152. Breton, P. Feb. 18. 1926. Floors, cleaning. - Liquid from a container 1, Fig. 1, is delivered between the bristles of a brush 36 on to the surface under treatment and is subsequently collected, by means of suction, in the container, which is provided with filtering means so that the liquid can be used repeatedly. Filtering material d, for example wadding, is provided in a chamber a, the top of which is perforated while the bottom has an aperture receiving a manually-operated needle valve h. A suction orifice 34, the end of which is raised from the ground by a squeegee 12 or by a brush, leads to an intermediate chamber or collector 33 communicating with a tube 4 provided at the top with a baffle 5. The top of the container 1 is provided with a tube 2 for connection to a source of action. In the construction shown in Figs. 5 and 6, the container 1 has a circular opening in which is secured a member m formed with holes to receive a needle valve o and a delivery tube n. These holes communicate with a passage closed by a disc d of filtering material such as felt, which is kept in place by a plug q. The plug and the member m are perforated to permit liquid from the con. tainer to reach the disc d.
