Abstract

Gas fires; casings.- Gas and other fires are constructed with a faience, fireclay, or like front portion, slabbed in one or more pieces and comprising preferably a " fret " b, jambs c, and an upper portion e, secured to a back plate or frame h. In the gas fine shown, the back plate is attached by bolts g secured in the faience or the cement backing. The burner and injector j are bolted to the back plate, and the brick back and fuel-holder, if the latter is used, are held between bars i extending across the back plate or frame.
