Abstract
269,357. Forte, G. June 4, 1926. Springs, arrangement of.-Stones, ore, wood, &c. are loaded into a truck at the top of a hill, the descent of a full truck raising an empty truck and also generating electricity by generators carried on the truck. The chassis 0, Fig. 1, supports the body frame D by springs H and the body comprises a part A for containing the electric generator and a box body B for the load. A handle N serves for removing the box body. A generator G mounted in the part A is driven by cogs from the wheels and an exciter S, Fig. 3, operated by an accumulator is mounted beside it and is cut out when the voltage generated equals that of the accumulator. The descent of one truck raises another running on parallel rails by means of an endless cable. Compressed air brakes are used to control the speed of the descent. The electrical connections shown in Fig. 3 consist of trolly wires L by which threephase current is led to a motor M which drives a direct current dynamo G which charges an accumulator which may be used to run a lighting circuit. Connectors are provided for connecting the accumulator to the electrical apparatus on the trolly to assist in driving it when necessary.
