Abstract
269,011. Seebold, J. E. June 18, 1926. Burglar apparatus; cameras, cases for. - A secreted armoured casing 1, Fig. 3, is fitted with a camera 4 without a shutter, a bullet-proof shutter 11 being recessed in the front wall 8 of the casing which also has an exposure opening 16 therein. The casing also contains means, such as an electric motor 5, for operating the shutter, the motor circuit being closed externally as by an unseen contact switch. The circuit may also include a flashlight apparatus. The shutter 11 is driven by gearing 6, 7, 9, 10, the shutter spindle 12 having an arm 13, Fig. 4, rotating over a contact segment 15, so that on reaching the insulating portion 14 rotation ceases. Alternatively, a film camera may be fitted within the casing, and the film mechanism driven synchronously with the shutter to take a series of exposures. The front wall 8 of the casing 1 is covered with a facing plate 22, Fig. 7, having an aperture with bevelled edges 23 in alignment with the aperture 16. The lens collar 18 screws into a ring 17 on the wall 8 and is clamped by a locking ring 19.
