Mixers shaken in the hand.-A loving-cup, waterpitcher, chalice, vase. or similar vessel is provided with a normally concealed domeshaped member which is detachably connected to the receptacle and is adapted when the vessel is to be used as a beverage-shaker to serve as a cover, being provided with a spout and a closure member therefor. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the base 18 of the loving-cup 10 is adapted to be detached from the cup by pulling out the top 19 of the base from the skirt 16 on the cup and from the wood base 21, and to be placed in the mouth of the cup 10. either in the position shown dotted, with a lemon-squeezer 24 and sieve 23 uppermost, or in an inverted position with the spout 29 uppermost. The spout may fit frictionally into the top 19 of. the base 18 ready to be inverted for use, or may screw into the same, the base 18 being similarly arranged to screw to the skirt 16. An alternative form of stopper is shown in Fig. 5. This is provided with a spout 34 adapted to pass through an eccentric hole 33 in a web 32 in the base 18 and with a web 37 adapted to close or open the aperture when the spout is in pouring position by turning the same. Fig. 7 shows an alternative form of loving-cup or other vessel 40 with a false bottom 43 adapted to be inverted and placed in the mouth of the vessel to convert same into a beverage shaker. A removable piece 49 covering the spout 47 is adapted to be replaced by a lemon squeezer 51 and sieve 52 carried between the bottom 43 and the bottom of the cup 40.
