Locking nuts.-A locking- washer has on both sides a plurality of spherical projections which may be formed on the surface or punched out as shown in Fig. 6. Steel balls may be fixed in the washer, the diameter of the balls being slightly greater than the thickness of the washer. The material of the washer may extend partly or wholly over the ball as shown in Fig. 5.
