Moulding hollow-ware.-For moulding or shaping tea-cups and like articles with integral handles in one casting or moulding operation, a one-piece mould is used having a small detachable handle portion formed in two or more parts. Thus, a roughly-shaped clay handle may be inserted in the recess of the separate mould member B before it is pushed into position in the main mould A. After the body of the article has been produced by jolleying, the article and the member B are removed from the main mould as a unit and the member B afterwards freed from the handle by a lateral movement. In some cases the whole article may be cast at one operation instead of being jollied, but the method of manipulating the mould parts remains unaltered in this case. For making cups with block handles, the handle recess can be in the centre of the member B instead of at one side, in which case the handle is tapered sufficiently in thickness to permit the member B to be detached therefrom. In a furher modification the separate mould member is divided vertically into two parts, each containing half of the handle-forming recess.
