Work supports for ironing-machines. - In supports comprising padding 20 supported by springs 11 carried by the base plate 10, capping members for the springs comprise discs 12 having upstanding flanges 13 and prongs 15 engaging the resilient members 14 under the padding, and downwardly directed prongs 16 engaging the springs either externally or internally. In a modification in which the intermediate resilient members 14 are omitted, the flanges are dispensed with and the upstanding prongs engage directly in the padding.
