Abstract

266,895. Jenkins, R. W., and Peverley, R. St. L. Feb. 18, 1926. Window frames; window shutters. -A frame for a window, skylight, shutter, &c., adapted for insertion in a corrugated sheet metal or like roof &c., is provided with outer flanges b, c, on its edges which are suitably corrugated to fit the material in which it is inserted and inner flanges d to carry glass &c. The upright ribs or webs of the frame may be holed for the pivots of a sash, or hinges for a sash may be mounted on the inner flanges d. The joint between the hinged sash and frame in the latter arrangement may be protected by a hood h integrally formed on the frame and supported by webs i at its ends. The frame may be apertured at e for riveting to the roof &c., or may be. secured by spot-welding. The space within the frame may be subdivided as required.
