Wafer biscuits, making. - In a machine for making cone biscuits, of the type in which a pair of half mould sections are hinged together and lock about conical plugs and in which the conical plugs are moved, for discharge of the cone biscuits, normally to their axes, an injection plate, arranged around the bases of the plugs, is moved forward automatically to strip the cone biscuits from the plugs. As shown in Fig. 1, the socket mould comprises two hinged half mould sections 1, 2 having patterning 3 and the plug moulds 10 are secured by screwed extensions 11 and nuts 12 in a flange 13 of a bracket 16 rotatable on the shaft 7 by a lever 8 having an end roller 9 which engages with a cam rail whereby the plugs, after the half mould sections are opened, swing upwardly away from the lower section 1. The plugs 10 and the section 2 may be operated by hand. The plugs 10 have fluted or ribbed beat receptive extensions 15. The stripping plate 14 has projecting pins 21 which engage fixed abutments 22 on the shaft 7 whereby the plate 14 is moved forwardly when the plugs are swung up. The section 1, 2 may be opened by cam rails and locked by aT-headed bolt and a star-wheel.
