Abstract

The invention provides a mask for a respirator. The mask comprises a nose cup 141 for covering the wearer’s nose and mouth, and a sealing arrangement 142 configured to provide a seal between the mask and the face of the wearer. The sealing arrangement comprises a chin portion 501 which is configured to extend over a wearer’s chin and has an outer surface which is configured to follow the shape of the wearer’s chin. The invention can be protective goggles (12, fig.2) comprising a sealing arrangement (106, Fig.2) and pump to pump air into an ocular space. The invention can be a visor or eyepiece (102, Fig.2) and a defogging arrangement (200, Fig.3) configured to generate and direct an airflow across an inside surfaces of the visor or eyepiece. The invention can be a respirator comprising protective goggles and a mask detachably connectable to one another. The invention can be a connector for detachably mounting a filter on a mask comprising a resiliently deformable clip (600, Fig.10) with jaws that engage a mounting portion (650, Fig.11) of the mask, and an actuator (605, Fig.10) to deform the clip. The invention is intended to provide easy to use respirator masks.
