Abstract

The invention relates to ventilation devices for providing air exchange between the outdoor environment and industrial or residential indoor spaces, and more particularly to fresh air ventilation valves, and even more particularly to fresh air ventilation valve housings, and can be used in supply air ventilation devices built into window units. The present fresh air ventilation valve housing comprises an upper base and a lower base that are connected to one another by end walls and by a rear lateral wall to form a cavity, wherein the housing is open from the front side, and the upper and lower bases of the housing have longitudinal recesses running across the entire length thereof on the front side of the housing, and wherein the cavity of the housing has a variable height. The technical result is that of reducing the friction force between the fresh air ventilation valve housing and a movable air flow adjustment means disposed therein, while maintaining the simplicity of the structure and allowing accurate adjustment and stabilization of the air flow adjustment means inside the housing, as well as expanding the existing range of fresh air ventilation valve housings.

Description

FRESH AIR VENTILATION VALVE HOUSING
The invention relates to ventilation devices for providing air exchange between the outdoor environment and industrial or residential indoor spaces, and more particularly to fresh air ventilation valves, and even more particularly to fresh air ventilation valve housings, and can be used in supply air ventilation devices built into window units.
A fresh air ventilation valve housing is known (patent BY 7522, 1PC F24F13/18, published on August 30, 2011), that may be considered as the closest prior art. The well-known housing is hollow and contains the upper and lower flat bases with longitudinal recesses, as well as two end walls arid a rear lateral wall. A cavity of the housing is designed to accommodate a movable air flow adjustment unit.
Disadvantages of the known tectmical solution include a high friction force between the housing and the movable air flow adjustment unit, and, consequently, a possible uneven movement of the air flow adjustment unit and a reduced accuracy of its adjustment, which is caused by the fact that the housing bases are flat. When adjusting the air flow, a user has to exert considerable efforts to move the movable unit inside the housing due to a high friction force caused by the tight fit of the entire surface of the movable unit contacting with the inner sides of the flat bases of the housing, which has a negative impact on usability and reliability of the fresh air ventilation valve housing.
The technical result to be achieved by this invention is to reduce the friction force between the fresh air ventilation valve housing and a movable air flow adjustment means disposed therein, while maintaining the simplicity of the structure and allowing accurate adjustment and stabilization of the air flow adjustment means inside the housing, as well as to expand the existing range of fresh air ventilation valve housings.
The technical problem is solved, and the technical result is achieved due to the fact that the fresh air ventilation valve housing includes the upper and lower bases connected to one another by end walls and by a rear lateral wall to form a cavity, wherein the housing is open from the front side, and the upper and lower bases of the housing have longitudinal recesses running across the entire length thereof on the front side of the housing, and wherein the cavity of the housing has a variable height In addition, the technical problem is solved, and the technical result is achieved in the specific embodiments of the fresh air ventilation valve housing as follows.
The upper base of the housing may be designed to be elastically deformed.
The lower base of the housing may be designed to be elastically deformed.
The housing may be provided with a slot.
The lower base of the housing may be provided with mounting lugs with flanges, on which mounting holes are formed.
The housing may be made of polymer materials.
Implementation of the cavity of the fresh air ventilation valve housing of variable height allows reducing the contact area of the housing and the movable air flow adjustment means if they are disposed inside the ventilation valve housing, which in turn allows significantly reducing a friction force between the air flow adjustment means and the ventilation valve housing, while keeping it high enough to prevent a free self-movement of the air flow adjustment means.
Implementation of the housing bases configured to be elastically deformed makes it possible to further stabilize the air flow adjustment means inside the housing due to the effect of elasticity, and to ensure that a desired accuracy of its adjustment is maintained.
In order to improve serviceability and accuracy of controlling the air flow adjustment means inside the housing, the housing can be provided with at least one slot.
To attach the fresh air ventilation valve housing to a window unit, this housing may be equipped with mounting lugs with flanges, on which mounting holes are formed.
To increase reliability, flexibility and elasticity, the housing may be made of polymer materials.
The fresh air ventilation valve housing is disclosed with reference to the drawings, wherein: Fig. 1 shows a top view of the housing; Fig. 2 shows a bottom view of the housing; and Fig. 3 schematically shows embodiments of the housing.
The fresh air ventilation valve housing (1) includes an upper base (2) and a lower base (3) connected to one another by end walls (4) and by a rear lateral wall (5) to form a cavity (6), wherein the housing (1) is open from the front side, and the upper and lower bases (2, 3) of the housing (I) have longitudinal recesses (7) running across the entire length thereof on the front side of the housing (1), and wherein the cavity (6) of the housing (1) has a variable height.
The lower base (3) of the housing (1) is designed with two main mounting lugs (8) located at its edges, and one or more additional mounting lugs (9) depending on the valve housing length. The mounting lugs (8) and (9) are equipped with flanges provided at their ends. These flanges are formed with holes (for example, for self-tapping screws) to attach the ventilation valve housing (1) to the window unit sash. It is desirable that the mounting lugs (8) and (9) have a thickness of 2 mm or more to exclude their breakage during installation and operation.
A movable air flow adjustment means may be disposed inside the housing (I) in the cavity (6). The housing (1) is provided with at least one slot (10), which can be located on the rear lateral wall (5), upper base (2), lower base (3) or end walls (4) so that to ensure fixation and movement of the air flow adjustment means inside the housing (1). A person skilled in the art can choose any convenient location of the slot on the housing.
Upper base (2) and lower base (3) of the housing (1) may be designed to be elastically deformed. Such an embodiment of the at least one base ensures that the movable air flow adjustment means located in the cavity (6) are under pressure. Since the cavity (6) has a variable height, the said pressure on the movable air flow adjustment means is exerted not along the entire length of the housing, but only in locations where the cavity is narrowed, which makes it possible to significantly reduce a friction force between the air flow adjustment means and the ventilation valve housing (1), while keeping it high enough to prevent a free self-movement of the air flow adjustment means. In other words, implementation of the cavity (9) of variable height, and additional implementation of at least one base designed to be elastically deformed provide a reduction of the friction, while keeping a desired accuracy of adjustment and stabilization of the air flow adjustment means inside the housing (1) Embodiments of the housing provided with a cavity of a variable height, and with elastically deformed bases are schematically shown in Fig. 3. Each of the embodiments shown as well as any other embodiment that is obvious to a person skilled in the art provides a reduction of the housing (1) surface contacting with the movable air flow adjustment means disposed inside it, while ensuring a desired pressure applied on the movable air adjustment means such that said means cannot spontaneously change their position.
Thus, the claimed fresh air ventilation valve housing has a number of advantages such as a reduction of the friction force between the fresh air ventilation valve housing and a movable air flow adjustment means disposed therein, while maintaining the simplicity of the structure, accurate adjustment and stabilization of the air flow adjustment means inside the housing. The claimed housing also expands the range of fresh air ventilation valve housings.
