Detailed Description of Figures
With reference to the figures there is shown an embodiment of a modular format structure 99 generally comprising: a plurality of modules including a wall, roof, and a floor 31, and the structure having a photovoltaic array 1 comprising a plurality of 30 photovoltaic panels.
The embodiment further comprises a waste water container and a fresh water container, both within the floor of modules such as a bathroom module 3 and kitchen module 16, a water movement circuit, a battery and conduits. None of which are shown. * The modules are arranged to connect with a reversible connection mechanism, comprised by overcentre clips 80, and an electrical and/or fluid circuit may be envisaged to be adapted to extend between modules.
As shown in Figures 10 the clips 80 are rebated into indentations 62. Such indentations and clips are subsequently capped with plastic caps 61 so as to prevent tampering or damage.
In particular reference to the embodiment shown in the Figures the structure 10 comprises rounded corners and outer form, whereby each of the modules have a curved walls and continuous roof, and the clips clip the modules together side by side and over the top of the structure.
The structure is thereby easily constructed in situ by the plurality of modules, which 15 each connect to one another using the clip connection mechanism.
The clip connection mechanism comprises twoS clips to either side of a module, spaced vertically and indented into rebates and the clips comprise overcentre clips which are arranged to pull the modules together as the clips are closed.
The modules comprise double skinned walls, with intermediate insulation, and the floor of each overlaps a subsequent module's floor.
In the pictured embodiment a flooring 14 is envisaged. This flooring may be 25 envisaged to be plywood constructed and/or cut to size, or may be a rolled material such as carpet or vinyl.
The structure may be envisaged to further comprise service lines (not shown) in use, which may extend between the modules, so as to allow for passage of wiring and/or liquid. The pictured embodiment includes strip lights 12, which may be envisaged to be connected to a single module, as shown in the Figures, and/or may be coaxially telescopic to allow collapsing thereof for transport.
It may be envisaged that the electrical or electronic service lines may comprise male and female connectors so as to allow for easy connection between modules. It may* be envisaged that liquid service lines may be installed separately and/or in use. In other embodiments liquid tight and/or sealable connectors may be envisaged.
Between the modules there is a sealing gasket 13 formed in rubber or silicone. This 5 is depressed by the clip mechanism and causes a secure seal.
The modules comprise: An entrance module 2, with an entrance porch 10, double doors 27, with an RFID entrance controller or scanner 26, and ramp 11; An endmost bathroom module 3 with a rainwater collection trough 7; An endmost plant Module 4 with a dividing wall 21; Wall module 22 with infrared heater panels 18; End corner lounge module 25 with internal fitted curved audiovisual screen 19; End corner lounge module 24; Mid module 6 with rainwater collection trough 7.
