Abstract

261,672. Brockett, W. E., and Harris, H. H. Aug. 18, 1926. Belt fastenings of the type in which wire-staples secured in the opposing belt ends are connected by raw hide or like pins. Each staple is formed with a looped centre 1 with parallel sides before the belt is introduced and the prongs 3 hammered down. The parallel siles preferably overlap the belt ends as shown. The, staples may be mounted during the securing-operation in a holder of the kind described in Specification 107,291.
