Moulds of the type in which the sides are secured together by prongs passing through slots and secured by cotters p, are furnished with flanges on the sides to support the bottom plate, the flanges on one pair of sides a, c engaging above and on the other pair b, d below the plate which is located by slots and dowels. A core box f is supported from the sides by arms k located by checks j, l and is secured by clips m. Tapered cores are passed through aligned apertures in the core box and mould sides.
