Abstract

A carrier 1 for consumables in automated analyzer systems and a system comprising said carrier, wherein the carrier 1 comprises a handling interface 5 that has an identical form as the cap 10 of the consumable. The handling interface is formed by at least one circular protrusion as a surrounding collar. The system comprises the carrier and a gripper 20 with vertically arranged gripper fingers 21 to grip the handling interface of the carrier or cap located on a vial 15.
