Abstract

A composition for cleaning a combustion engine system, wherein the composition comprises: xylene, kerosene, acetone, at least one of propan-2-ol or propan-1-ol, and a biocide.

Claims (14)

1. A composition for cleaning a combustion engine system, wherein the composition comprises: xylene; kerosene; acetone; at least one of propan-2-ol or propan-1-ol; and a biocide.
2. A composition according to claim 1, wherein the composition comprises 30 to 65 % by volume xylene, 5 to 20 % by volume kerosene, 10 to 30 % by volume of the at least one of propan-2-ol or propan-1 -ol, 10 to 30 % by volume acetone, and 0.015 to 6 % by volume biocide.
3. A composition according to claim 1, wherein the composition comprises 35 to 60 % by volume xylene, 7 to 15 % by volume kerosene, 15 to 25 % by volume of the at least one of propan-2-ol or propan-1 -ol, 15 to 25 % by volume acetone, and 0.05 to 2 % by volume biocide.
4. A composition according to claim 1, wherein the composition comprises 45 to 50 % by volume xylene, 8 to 11 % by volume kerosene, 18 to 22 % by volume of the at least one of propan-2-ol or propan-1 -ol, 18 to 22 % by volume acetone, and 0.05 to 1 % by volume biocide.
5. A composition according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the biocide comprises Methylisothiazolinone.
6. A composition according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the biocide comprises a mixture of Methylisothiazolinone and Chloromethylisothiazolinone.
7. A method of a cleaning combustion engine system, wherein the method comprises: passing a composition into an engine of the combustion engine system, wherein the composition comprises: xylene; kerosene; acetone; at least one of propan-2-ol or propan-1-ol; and a biocide.
8. A method according to claim 7, wherein the composition is passed directly into the engine.
9. A method according to claim 7, wherein the composition may be introduced into the fuel tank and be passed into the engine from the fuel tank.
10. A composition according to any of claims 7 to 9, wherein the composition comprises 30 to 65 % by volume xylene, 5 to 20 % by volume kerosene, 10 to 30 % by volume of the at least one of propan-2-ol or propan-1 -ol, 10 to 30 % by volume acetone, and 0.015 to 6 % by volume biocide.
11. A composition according to any of claims 7 to 9, wherein the composition comprises 35 to 60 % by volume xylene, 7 to 15 % by volume kerosene, 15 to 25 % by volume of the at least one of propan-2-ol or propan-1 -ol, 15 to 25 % by volume acetone, and 0.05 to 2 % by volume biocide.
12. A composition according to any of claims 7 to 9, wherein the composition comprises 45 to 50 % by volume xylene, 8 to 11 % by volume kerosene, 18 to 22 % by volume of the at least one of propan-2-ol or propan-1 -ol, 18 to 22 % by volume acetone, and 0.05 to 1 % by volume biocide.
13. A composition according to any of claims 7 to 12, wherein the biocide comprises Methylisothiazolinone.
14. A composition according to any of claims 7 to 13, wherein the biocide comprises a mixture of Methylisothiazolinone and Chloromethylisothiazolinone.
