Spacers for type-barmaking machines. - In double-wedge spacers, the usual dovetail connections are replaced by a thin metallic tape B, Fig. 1, which is attached at its ends to the sliding wedge, and is threaded through a way formed in the stationary wedge A by a recessed portion S and a guiding lug or lugs L. The sliding wedge D, Fig. 5, may be solid throughout its length, or may be slotted and provided with a strengthening bar C. Sliding wedges may be provided on both sides of the stationary wedge. Specifications 14382/90, 3126/96, and 127,442 are referred to.
