Abstract

In this process bus-based protection system (40), a first merging unit (50_1) continuously samples an electrical quantity of a power system and digital-converts the electrical quantity to a first digital value. An intelligent electronic device (60) specifies the received time of the first digital value received from the first merging unit (50_1) via a process bus (41), thereby generating time-sequence data of the first digital value corresponding to the received time. The intelligent electronic device (60) determines, on the basis of the time-sequence data of the first digital value corresponding to the received time and first delay time information, the value of the electrical quantity sampled by the first merging unit (50_1) at an arbitrary first time.
