IMPROVEMENTS IN SINGLE PART WATER PIPING AND PLUMBING
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to plastic piping which is used to relocate water around a dwelling from various direct sources.
Background
The use of plastic piping within homes or dwellings has been known since the 1940's and is widely used throughout the world. The piping is often used alongside copper piping to make additions to older systems or to provide required applications when needed.
A common method of joining pipes is to have a joint section, commonly among these are tee fittings and elbow bends or I' joints. These provide means to link pipes of both plastic and copper or other types to each other and also relocate them in other directions during the complex installation process. When installing pipes into some locations the application can require several elbow and tee fittings and these often have some issues relating to them which includes having to make bends in pipes, requiring some skill and time. Leaking is a common issue with these fittings owing to the fact that pipes expand and contract when hot and cold, therefore the point at which they enter the opening in the tee or elbow fitting can have a small opening created around the rim where the fitting inlet and the pipe meets. This does often lead to small water leaks from the connected areas. This issue is known to increase when a copper or metal pipe enters a plastic fitting or vice versa.
Therefore various patents have been filed to attempt to resolve some of these issues: This is shown in patent EP2601039 (SILLASEN, DAUGHERTY) which discloses a fluid handling assembly provides conduits that deliver fluids there through. The fluid conduits include pipes, having an inner annular layer (2) of CPVC material, an intermediate annular layer (3) of metallic material and an outer annular layer (4) of CPVC material. Pipes are joined using inserts (9) that are engaged in cemented relation with a coupling. The inserts are configured to resist deformation at relatively high pressures that reduces the risk of separation of the layers of the pipe due to fluid infiltration between such layers.
Patent JP2013011088 (TAKAHASHI) discloses a junction pipe joint capable of smoothly joining flows of waste water flowing out from a branch and easily adjusting an angle of the branch to a waste water branch pipe even after setting a height of a joining point with respect to a joint body. SOLUTION: A junction pipe joint is equipped with: a joint body 2 having an upstream pipe connection port 5 and a downstream pipe connection port 6; and a branch 3 connected to the joint body 2.The branch 3 has: a cylindrical outflow part 21 which is arranged in parallel to a flowing-down direction of a drainage channel 7 and is provided with an outflow port 20 on a downstream end; and an inflow pad 25 which is extended outward in a direction perpendicular to an upstream end of the outflow part 21 and is provided with a branch pipe connection port 22 for connecting a waste water branch pipe on an opening end side. The joint body 2 includes: a storage recess 8 in which the outflow part 21 of the branch 3 is stored; and a branch connection port 10 which is provided in the storage recess 8 and rotatably supports the outflow port 20 side of the outflow part 21 so as to turn the inflow part 25 around the outflow part 21 in a range of 180 degrees.

The lip seal which opposes the axial direction of the socket is formed as a slope. The lip seal is formed of elastomer on the outer periphery of the annular base portion connected with the inner periphery of the socket. An independent claim is included for pipe joint assembly. (From DE102011015462 Al) Patent CN2013549141J (SU, PEI) discloses a plastic socket elbow is formed by connecting a straight-pipe elbow pipe with two flared socket pipes. The straight-pipe elbow pipe is made of the plastic wound structural wall pipe, the flared socket pipes are integrated structural members formed by injection molding, and the two flared socket pipes are respectively fused and connected with two openings of the straight-pipe elbow pipe through hot-melt adhesive. The utility model has the advantages of a rational structure, firm sol welding, high ring stiffness, convenient and quick installation, corrosion resistance and non-leakage, and saves raw materials.

In addition, the invention provides a method for producing a tubing piece during which said spout or nipple is made by means of a mechanical operation to form the end of the tube.
The prior art therefore shows that there is a need for a more effective piping method wherein the pipes are more extensive in length but have pre-formed tee fittings and elbow bend fittings as well as pipe size fittings which reduce to one end The present invention aims to provide an improved piping solution, derived of single piece pipes which incorporate these fittings without a connective weakness for potential leaks at said fittings therefore.
Summary of the invention
According to the present invention there is provided a selection of hollow PVC plastic pipes which can have 1.50cm and 2.20cm openings. These form single part water piping sections which come in four differing options in the first embodiment. These shaped pipe sections provide the tee or elbow bend fittings without any joints around the areas where the pipes meet, as they are made from a single piece of moulded plastic thereto.
The first shaped section is a tee pipe; as shown in Figure 1, which is a join point for up to three pipe lengths and has a vertical pipe length of 20cm with a 1.50cm diameter opening to each end. This vertical pipe extends perpendicularly and centrally from a horizontal pipe of 30cm with a 2.20cm opening to each end. This forms a tee section which can be located and joined to 1.50cm and 2.20cm diameter extension lengths of pipe, from the horizontal and vertical.
A second shaped section is a further tee pipe; as shown in Figure 2, which is a join point for up to three pipe lengths and has a vertical pipe length of 20cm with a 1.50cm diameter opening to each end. This vertical pipe extends perpendicularly and centrally from a horizontal pipe of 30cm with a 1.50cm opening to each end. This forms a tee section which can be located and joined to 1.50 cm diameter extension lengths of pipe from the horizontal and vertical.
In a third shaped section is an elbow bend pipe at ninety degrees; as shown in Figure 3 which has a vertical pipe length of 30cm to the bottom of the bend and with a horizontal pipe of 20cm from the opposing bend side. An opening of 1.50 cm is provided to both ends of the pipe.
In a fourth shaped section is a further elbow bend at ninety degrees; as shown in Figure 4 which has a vertical pipe length of 20cm to the bottom of the bend and with a horizontal section of 30cm with a smaller end section. The horizontal section begins with a 2.20cm diameter pipe which reduces to a 1.50cm diameter end opening, by way of a conal section as shown, to offer a smaller standard pipe fitting. This elbow bend section can be located and joined to 1.50cm and 2.20cm extension lengths of pipe from the horizontal and vertical. The shaped sections of pipe provide the basis for any joins that will be required when plumbing a pipe system and replace the need for joints having to have inserted pipes which could leak. The use of said pipes also limits the number of fittings used overall in a plumbing arrangement. The need to bend a pipe to ninety degrees is also removed as it is already provided with the ninety degree bend pipe sections; with both having differing end extension diameters to provide extension lengths of both sizes.
The sizes shown above are for a standard set of pipe sections but they could also be provided in any known diameter and length including 1.0cm diameter for modern central heating plumbing compatibility. The extension lengths of pipes which are connected to the said shaped sections can be of any length and whatever is required to complete a connection of pipes, as demonstrated in Figure 5. The extension lengths of pipe connect to the shaped sections using pressure or push fit connectors, each having the corresponding diameter for the pipe diameter onto which they are connecting, being either; 2.2cm or 1.5cm or any other corresponding pipe to pressure fitting collaboration. Other 1.0cm options may be provided for central heating plumbing systems for housing, to be used with pipe diameter fittings of 1.0cm. All single part water pipe wall thicknesses would generally be the same and all pipes as said are preferably produced from PVC or a suitable variant plastic.
