Abstract

The structural support member may be a beam 1 with two opposed elongate plate flanges 12 with a transversely arranged wave like web portion 11 in between (only one flange shown in Figure 1). At least one apex in the wave includes a reinforcement such as a hollow tube 14 on the inside of the apex. The wave like or undulating corrugated like formation may hold the reinforcement member. The beam may be made from multiple parts or may be formed from a single integral piece, for example the web may be made from multiple pieces joined together.
