Description
“Mounting dish, bolt-type lock, lid stay with improved sealing”
The invention relates to a mounting dish for mounting in receiving openings of an outer wall of a container, in particular for the mounting of locks or lid stays at a point of separation of two container parts, said mounting dish being divided along a dividing plane into a first dish half and a second dish half and having at least one connecting element which is fastened to both dish halves, wherein the connecting element, in at least one closed position, can fix the two dish halves with respect to one another so as to prevent a separating movement perpendicular to the separating plane. The invention also relates to a bolt-type lock and a lid stay having such a mounting dish.
Mounting dishes of the type mentioned above are used, for example, for bolt-type locks for locking transport containers or for lid stays for connecting the container halves on such transport containers. A particularly flat design of the mounting dishes is important so that the transport containers can be stacked and at the same time are not struck by protruding articles during transport. The transport containers can also be retrofitted with the bolt-type locks or the lid stays. To this end, the mounting dishes are inserted in receiving openings arranged at the points of separation of the container halves. Usually no sealing can take place in the receiving openings of the container due to the seal that is present in the edges of the container halves. Due to construction tolerances, a gap exists at a transition region between the dish halves of the mounting dish used, and this is conducive to the ingress of moisture and dirt.
The problem addressed by the invention is that of providing a mounting dish, a bolttype lock and a lid stay which are suitable also for retrofitting containers and are better sealed in a closed position, wherein at the same time the mounting dish, the bolt-type lock and the lid stay should be of compact design and should be able to be manufactured inexpensively.
The problem is solved according to the invention by a mounting dish having the features of the characterizing part of claim 1, by a bolt-type lock according to claim 13, and by a lid stay according to claim 14. It is therefore provided that one or more sealing means are arranged between opposite end sides of the dish halves, as a result of which a gap which extends along the separating plane between the end sides of the dish halves is sealingly closed in the closed position. The sealing means according to the invention make it possible to protect against the ingress of dirt and moisture.
In one advantageous embodiment of the invention, the respective sealing means is fastened to an end side of a first dish half and is configured as a sealing body which extends along the end side and which is made of an elastically deformable material and which protrudes relative to the end side of the first dish half in the direction of the opposite end side of the second dish half. This enables a particularly simple and inexpensive sealing of the gap between the dish halves.
Preferably, in the closed position, the sealing body connected to the first dish half is at least partially received in a groove which is formed along the opposite end side of the second dish half. A particularly impervious, robust and stable seal is created due to the fact that the sealing body penetrates into the groove arranged on the opposite side.
Alternatively, in the closed position, the sealing body connected to the first dish half bears against a sealing surface which is formed along the opposite end side of the second dish half. This makes it possible for the gap to be sealed in a particularly simple and inexpensive manner.
In a further alternative, a first sealing means is connected to the first dish half and a second sealing means is connected to the second dish half, wherein, in the closed position, the sealing bodies of the two sealing means bear sealingly against one another along the separating plane. This makes it possible to bridge over and seal particularly wide gaps.
Preferably, the sealing body has a fastening web extending parallel to the separating plane and has on one side a sealing bead extending parallel thereto, wherein, in the closed position, the sealing bead protrudes into the gap between the two dish halves. Advantageously, the sealing body is fixed to the respective dish half on or below the base in a mechanical or materially bonded manner by means of the fastening web. This enables a particularly simple and stable fastening of the sealing body while at the same time enabling easy and material-saving manufacture of the sealing body.
In addition, the fastening web of the sealing body is preferably arranged between the base and a retaining element fastened on or below the base, and is connected to the base via the retaining element. This enables a particularly stable fixing of the sealing body and prevents detachment of the sealing body from the dish half.
In a further advantageous embodiment, at least one first dish half has a first angled section in the base for at least partially receiving the fastening web of the sealing body, said angled section extending parallel to the respective end side, wherein this has at its end facing towards the other dish half a further second angled section for at least partially receiving the sealing bead of the sealing body. This enables particularly easy manufacture and a compact design, wherein the base of the dish half simultaneously supports and protects the sealing body.
Further advantageous embodiments of the invention will become apparent from the following description of the figures and from the dependent claims.
