Abstract

256,825. Getgood, R. F. Oct. 29, 1925. Wind-propelled toys. - A mascot for roadvehicles or water-craft is formed to represent a butterfly, moth or other winged insect, and comprises a body part A attached to the vehicle and wings B adapted to be moved relatively to the body by the action of the wind upon them and returned to their normal position by means of springs F or weights. The wings are warped to catch the wind and are pivoted on a spindle C mounted on the body. Stops G are provided to limit the movement. In a modification, the wings are attached to two rods which are pivotally mounted on the body and geared together.
