Abstract
An eaves closure comprising sections or a strip of material with an upper edge profiled to abut the underside of corrugated or other non-flat roof panels to prevent the ingress of rats, bats, insects, snakes, reptiles etc. The closure can have holes or mesh 2 to allow airflow through the closure. The sections or strip may have a perpendicular strip along its length aligned substantially horizontally (4, fig 2). Securing holes or slots 3 may be used to fix the closure in place.
Description
The wave strip, right-angled wave strip and wave tile rat, bat, bug and snake eliminator for non-flat surfaced roofs- eg. corrugated, curved tile etc.
This invention can be attached to non-flat surfaced diagonal and horizontal roofs already built and can be secured before the new or replacement roof is fixed to a building.
Galvanised and non-galvanised corrugated roofs are used throughout the world for homes, warehouses, garages, sheds etc. They are cheaper and safer alternatives to individual tiles if hurricanes are likely in the area and more durable than felt roofs. However the non-flat wave-like shape of corrugated and similar roofs mean that when they are fixed on top of a building gaps are created for rats, bats, mosquitoes, scorpions, a variety of other bugs and even snakes to enter freely.
This invention overcomes that problem, and therefore reduces the health risks associated with those animals, by providing a wave strip, a right-angled wave strip and individual wave tiles that are secured inside and tp the roof shape while still allowing air to enter the building to aid ventilation and also stop any ventilation entering the building in colder climates and if insulation is already fixed to the non-flat shaped roof sheets.
This invention comes in eleven versions. The wave strip can be made out of any suitable material with holes in it or a fine mesh-type material ora combination of fine mesh-type material and solid material or without holes or mesh to stop air circulating. These four
-2versions would be suitable for roofs that are already established and all are attached to the front of the roof structure. The right-angled wave strip can be made out of any suitable material with holes in it, or a fine mesh-type material or a combination of a mesh-type material and a solid material or without holes or mesh to stop air circulating. These versions are attached to the top of the roof structure before a new or replacement roof is secured. It can be made as individual tiles that fit under the curved shape of tiled and terracotta-type roofs or individual tiles for a roof that has fewer wave sections in it. Lastly it can be manufactured in front of any insulation material that has already been attached into any non-flat surfaced roof both as a flat wave strip or a right-angled wave strip. All are made to prevent rats, bats, bugs and snakes from entering a building via the roof.

Claims (2)
1. A roofing system for galvanised, corrugated and other nonflat surfaced roofs that can be a wave strip, a right-angled wave strip and a wave tile that are made to fit into and under the shape of any non-flat surfaced roof already made to prevent rats, bats, insects, snakes and other reptiles from entering the building under the roof from the outside and can provide ventilation through holes or mesh or not which can be made out of any suitable material, can have securing holes/slots or not, can be made in any suitable length and only one, some or all of the invention's versions can be made and used.
2. A roofing system for any non-flat surfaced roof as described above with reference to the accompanying drawings but not restricting the shape of the roof system to the shape of the waves shown in the drawings because the system can be made to fit any non-flat surfaced roof shape, and not restricting the combination of mesh and solid materials to the combinations shown in Figure 8 (a) and Figure 8 (b).
