Abstract

A vehicle transportation apparatus (e.g. a trailer) comprising a platform 3, (103, figure 8) for a hydraulic excavator (e.g. mini-excavator) and an equipment retaining unit 5, (105) configured to retain the excavator buckets 6 and/or a breaker (130). The transportation apparatus may comprise an openable lid 9, (109) pivoting about a hinge 10, (110) for retaining the excavator buckets 6, (106) and/or a breaker (130), preventing them from moving around and coming into contact with the hydraulic excavator in transit. Preferably, the equipment retaining unit 5, (105) can be locked to provide an anti-theft function and comprises locking members.
