Abstract

A shoe 1 with an interchangeable heel-end section comprising the heel counter and topline of a standard shoe. The shoe has two fixed locking pins 2. The interchangeable heel-end section has two moveable locking pins (6, Fig 3). These pins lock to one another to fasten the two units. The moveable pins allow unfastening and separation of the two units when said pins are pushed towards each other using protruding part (7, fig 3).

Description

(54) Title of the Invention: Shoe with interchangeable heel-end section Abstract Title: Shoe with an interchangeable heel-end section (57) A shoe 1 with an interchangeable heel-end section comprising the heel counter and topline of a standard shoe.

Shoe with interchangeable heel-end section
This invention relates to a shoe with interchangeable heel-end section. This heelend section comprises the heel counter and topline thereof of a standard shoe.
When a wearer puts on a standard shoe, it can cause two issues that this invention addresses. One, the heel-end of the topline is pushed down to accommodate the heel of the wearer entering the standard shoe. Two, the fingers of the wearer are pinched between the wearer’s heel and the topline of the standard shoe. These two issues cause damage to the standard shoe and discomfort to the wearer.
To overcome this, the present invention proposes an interchangeable heel-end section. The invention includes the shoe thereof.
The interchangeable section allows the wearer to remove the section before putting on the shoe. The wearer can then enter their foot into the shoe. The section is then replaced to complete the structure of the shoe. This avoids the two identified issues of a standard shoe.
An example of the invention will now be described by referring to the accompanying drawings:
• Figure 1 shows the shoe and interchangeable heel-end section proposed by this application.
• Figure 2 shows the shoe proposed by this application.
• Figure 3 shows the interchangeable heel-end section proposed by this application.
• Figure 4 shows the fastening and unfastening mechanism between the shoe proposed by this application and the interchangeable heel-end section proposed by this application.
The interchangeable section 5 is fastened to the shoe 1. The interchangeable section 5 has two moveable bent locking pins 6. The shoe 1 has two fixed bent locking pins 2. These pins 2 and 6 lock to one another. The interchangeable section 5 has a structure 9 which slides into and out of a gap 3 found in the sole 4 of the shoe 1 when the section 5 is fastened to and unfastened from the shoe 1 respectively, avoiding vertical displacement of the section 5 when fastened.
The interchangeable section 5 is unfastened from the shoe 1. The two protruding parts 7 of the two moveable bent pins 6 are pressed towards eachother by the wearer. The two moveable bent pins 6 are in a cavity 10 in the section 5 allowing lateral movement The two moveable bent pins 6 of the interchangeable section 5 are unfastened from the two fixed bent pins 2 of the shoe 1. The interchangeable section 5 is then pulled apart from the shoe 1.

Claims (3)

1) A shoe with interchangeable heel-end section comprising the heel counter and topline thereof so as to allow the rear of the shoe to be interchanged by the wearer.
2) A shoe according to claim 1, in which the shoe has fixed locking pins to fasten to it an interchangeable heel-end section.
3) An interchangeable heel-end section according to claim 1, in which the interchangeable heel-end section has moveable locking pins to fasten to and unfasten from a shoe according to claim 2.
