Definitions
- This invention refers to a sandal that is molded, injected or cut by a plate made from a suitable material, comprising a single piece.

Abstract
The invention refers to single, flat device that is able to form a sandal. This flat device comprises a sole (1) laterally extended by a male fastener (3) and a opposite female fastener (5), the male fastener (3) having a serrated end (4) and the female fastener (5) having transversal apertures (6), the fasteners (3) and (5) respectively having groove (2) and groove (7) at their edges with the sole (1).
Description
- This invention refers to a sandal that is molded, injected or cut by a plate made from a suitable material, comprising a single piece.
- The state of the art discloses sandals whose sole and fastener or fasteners are separately made parts that are joined at a later phase.
- The objective of the present invention is to eliminate a double manufacturing process and the subsequent connecting phase, reducing the costs of the final product.
-
FIGS. 1 and 2 are arranged respectively on pages 1/2 and 2/2 of the attached drawings and illustrate the object of the present invention: the single component sandal, the parts of which can be detailed as follows: -
- 1—Sole;
- 2—Groove;
- 3—Male fastener;
- 4—Serrated end;
- 5—Female fastener;
- 6—Aperture;
- 7—Groove;
- In
FIG. 1 , the invention is disclosed in a top-perspective view and in flat form, once manufactured in any of the possible configurations. The sandal of the invention comprises the sole (1), having conventional ergonomic shape and size, extended on one side by a male fastener (3) having a serrated end (4) and, on the opposite side, extended by a female fastener (5) having transversal apertures (6). Additionally, on the inner face and corresponding to the edge of the sole (1) with fasteners (3) and (5), there are grooves (2) and (7), respectively. - In
FIG. 2 , the invention is represented in a top-elevation view and in a three-dimensional form, ready to wear. In this form, fasteners (3) and (5) have been bent over the sole (1), lapping the first over the second while the serrated end (4) has been inserted through an aperture (6) and has emerged from another consecutive aperture (6), to form a single fastener (3 to 6). Grooves (2) and (7) (not illustrated in this drawing) allow greater flexibility at the edges between the fastener (3 to 6) and the sole (1), so that it remains flat. - When emerging from one of the apertures (6), the serrated edge of the end (4) is sufficient to hold the bond between fasteners (3) and (5) during the vertical exertions that are common in the movement of the wearer's feet. Disconnecting is easily carried out by horizontal movements, with the use of the hands and a desire to return the sandal to its originally flat form. This form is useful for the wearer during packaging, storage or transport of the product which, under such circumstances, takes up less volume.
- In substitution at the edge (4) and at the apertures (6), Velcro plaques may be placed on opposite faces of the fasteners (3) and (5). Both solutions can provide closure devices that are connectable to sandals and shoes.
- Advantages of this sandal novelty compared to conventional products:
- Lower costs because it is manufactured in a single part.
- Due to its flat shape, lower costs of packaging and transport during the commercial stage, since it takes up less space.
- Greater convenience for the wearer, for the reasons stated previously, since the sandal requires less space for storage and transport.
- The advantage of the invention as a device for sandals and shoes is a reduction in costs because it eliminates clasps, laces or buckles as closing devices.
