Abstract
An easily assembled stem and fork structure includes a head tube assembly 2, a stem assembly 1, and a fork assembly 3. A fork stem 37 of the fork assembly 3 has a fork stem through bore 34 with a resilient protruding structure 31,32,33 therein. The through bore 33 may be equipped with a sleeve 33, which may be welded in place. A block ring 35 mounted around the fork stem 37 blocks the resilient protruding structure. The stem has a stem through-hole 15. The stem 11 has an inner diameter larger than an outer diameter of the fork stem 37. When assembling, the fork stem 37 is disposed in one end of the head tube 22. The stem 11 is disposed in the other end of the head tube 22 and mounted around the fork stem 37. Sliding the two together causes the block ring 35 to be displaced and the resilient protruding structure protrudes from the fork stem trhough bore 34 into the stem through holes 15 to be fixed. A spring 13 provides bearing preload. The assembly process is simplified allowing user assembly.
Description
EASILY ASSEMBLED STEM AND FORK STRUCTURE
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention;
The present invention relates to installations of stem and fork of a bicycle, and more particularly, to an easily assembled stem and fork structure. 2. Description of the Related Art;
Regarding the assembling of a bicycle, many complicated steps are included; also, many related professional apparatuses are needed. For a non-professional, works of such complicated assembling steps and choosing various installation apparatuses are laborious and time consuming tasks. Also, complicated adjustment processes are also needed to be conducted for correctly assembling a bicycle. If the bicycle is not properly adjusted, not only the normal functions are not carried out, but also the bicycle rider will be at risk. In addition, the bicycle elements not properly assembled will be overly worn or malfunction.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
For improving such issues, an embodiment of the present invention discloses an easily assembled stem and fork structure.
For achieving the aforementioned issues, an embodiment of the present invention provides an easily assembled stem and fork structure, comprising: a head tube, a stem, and a fork assembly; the fork assembly is provided with a fork stem, and the fork stem is provided with a fork stem through bore with a resilient protruding structure disposed therein, and a block ring mounted around the fork stem and blocking the resilient protruding structure in the fork stem; the stem is provided with a stem through hole corresponding to the fork stem through bore, and the stem has an inner diameter larger than an outer diameter of the fork stem; the fork stem is disposed in one end of the head tube; the stem is disposed in the other end of the head tube; the stem is mounted around the fork stem; and the resilient protruding structure protrudes from the stem through hole to be fixed in the stem through hole.
Preferably, the resilient protruding structure includes a resilient member, a lining sleeve, and two pins. The lining sleeve is fixed in the fork stem through bore. The resilient member is disposed in the lining sleeve. Two ends of the resilient member are provided with a pin, respectively.
Preferably, the resilient member is a spring.
Preferably, the lining sleeve is welded in the fork stem through bore.
Preferably, two ends of the head tube are fixed with a top cup and a bottom cup, respectively.
With such configuration, the assembling process is simplified and time saving. Ordinary people after provided with a simple instruction are allowed to assemble the stem and the fork structure without risking the adjustment of the front wheel and the front brake clip.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OE THE INVENTION
The aforementioned and further advantages and features of the present invention will be understood by reference to the description of the preferred embodiment in conjunction with the accompanying drawings where the components are illustrated based on a proportion for explanation but not subject to the actual component proportion.
If the bicycle is not properly adjusted, not only the normal functions are not carried out, but also the hicycle rider will be at risk. In addition, the bicycle elements not properly assembled will be overly worn or malfunction.
Referring to Fig. 1 to Fig. 4, an embodiment of an easily assembled stem and fork structure provided by the present invention comprises a stem assembly 1, a fork cups assembly 2, and a fork assembly 3.
The stem assembly 1 includes a top cover 12, a spring 13, and a washer 14, orderly mounted around a stem 11. Also, the stem 11 further includes a stem through hole 15. Such components are able to be pre-assembled into the stem assembly 1 at the manufacturing factory, so as to simplify the assembling process of the user.
The fork cups assembly 2 includes a head tube 22 of the bicycle bracket, further including a top cup 21 and a bottom cup 23 that are disposed in the top end and the bottom end of the head tube 22.
The fork assembly 3 includes a fork stem 37. A bottom washer 36 is assembled in the fork stem 37. A fork stem through bore 34 is disposed at an appropriate position of the fork stem 37. A lining sleeve 33 is disposed in the fork stem through bore 34; next, a spring 32 is placed in the lining sleeve 33; then , two ends of the spring 32 are mounted with a pin 31, respectively; finally a plastic ring 35 is mounted around the fork stem through bore 34 with the pin 31 covered by the plastic ring 35. Thus, the assembling process of the fork assembly 3 is completed. The fork assembly 3 and a corresponding wheel are able to be pre-assembled. When the user acquires the fork assembly 3 product, the user does not need to assemble the wheel, so that the assembling cost of the user saved.
When the user acquires the pre-assembled stem assembly 1, the fork cups assembly 2, and the fork assembly 3, the user only needs to assemble these three assemblies. The assembling process includes following steps: (a) inserting the fork stem 37 of the fork assembly 3 into the fork cups assembly 2 from the bottom of the fork cups assembly 2; (b) inserting the stem 11 of the stem assembly 1 into the fork cups assembly 2 from the top of the fork cups assembly 2; and (c) mounting the stem 11 around the fork stem 37 and pressing the stem 11 with little strength till the plastic ring 35 on the fork stem 37 displaced by the stem 11. The pin 31 inside the lining sleeve 33 protrudes from the stem through hole 15 of the stem 11 by the spring 32, such that the pin 31 is engaged with the stem through hole 15. After that, the overall assembling process is completed.
The assembling of the present invention is simple and convenient without any professional installation tools. When the overall structure is assembled, the structure is readily usable, wherein the adjustment of the fork assembly 3 and the stem assembly 1 is saved, as shown by Fig. 4.
Also, such technical features are applicable on other product in associated with wheels, adjustment needed, or pre-assembled with bearings.
Although particular embodiments of the invention have been described in detail for purposes of illustration, various modifications and enhancements may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Accordingly, the invention is not to be limited except as by the appended claims.
