Abstract
A tray for carrying one to four glasses in which the tray comprises four slideable sections, wherein each section has a central hole to locate a single drinking vessel. In the extended position, a user can carry four separate glasses, whilst in the closed position the tray can hold a single glass. The tray will preferably be constructed from plastic and be used in a variety of situations and events. The tray will preferably have finger placing to give the tray extra support in the extend position. An insert for the tray aperture will preferably be fitted to the holes to provide a means for carrying different sized glasses. When in the extended position, each single tray section will have a semi-circle cut out which will match the reciprocal shape on the next tray to provide extra strength and support. Each tray will have a stop position located internally to prevent the trays sliding apart.
Description
Pocket Tray Mate
With the many festivals/music events/open air concerts etc...where people buy drinks, it. is much easier to buy. for example, four pints lor two people then two pints, as the queues can be long. You are then in a Situation with four drinks in plastic glasses that are very hard to carry back to where you are standing/sitting. The plastic glasses can bend and you may spill some of the liquid as you are carrying and holding them.
The Pocket Tray Mate, (which will now be called “PTM”) has been designed to end this oroblem.
The PTM, is a collapsible four glass/cup holder, which extends to be able to carry four glasses individually by one person. To help with the different sizes of glasses we have also designed a simple ringlet that sits in the main hols of the PTM which can he made to any size for any glass. You can then carry the drinks safely back.
It has also been designed so that it collapses together (in a concertina form) so that it may fit into the trouser back pocket or put into a handbag / rucksack conveniently for the next use.
The advantages to this drinks holder is the convenience of having one with you all the time, like a re-usable bag, and that you can carry more than two drinks with you each time you go up to a bar or a drink retailer.
