Abstract

254,527. Wilkinson, S. July 20, 1925. Chimneys.-Ducts for conveying smoke or like products of combustion from locomotives in engine sheds, steam transport waggons in garages, &c., are constructed from flat or corrugated asbestos cement sheets or tiles 1 supported by a steel framework 2. The framework consists of steel bars 2 bolted together to form a truncated irregular pyramid, at the top of which a similarly constructed flue 3 is seated. The bolts or fastenings may be lead coated and asbestos washers may be used.
