Abstract
A games console 8 has a microphone 2 a means to store data 15 and removable data 10. The console may be connected wired or wirelessly to the internet. The console has a unique identifying code 41. Data stored on a remote server may be encrypted by an asset encryption device 30 and may be downloaded by the user of the console sending the code 41 to an internet service provider (Fig 3, 34). The data may then be decrypted within the console. Records of the nature of the downloaded data may be kept for subsequent billing payment purposes. The device and method is intended to protect IP rights and to ensure payment for their use.
Description
Portable microphone video games console Modern advances in system on chip processors have heralded the age of the Internet of Things. An application of the Internet of Things to the combined problems of digital asset protection and the desire of consumers to engage interaction with popular digital assets, such as music, video, written lyrics and games has produced a novel resolution to this dichotomy.
Herein is described a portable microphone video games console that generates images and sound and creates and stores digital assets that is incorporated into an arrangement of apparatus for protecting the intellectual property rights of digital asset owners that are distributed by a connection to the internet or by removable storage media and protected by a unique code associated with the device enabling a remote server to encrypt digital assets for the purpose of copy prevention.
The portable microphone video games console of the invention contains a unique identifying code that may be communicated to a remote server thus enabling an encryption machine to combine a digital asset with the unique code to produce an encrypted asset to be transmitted to the handheld microphone of the invention so that when it is decrypted by an internal facility of the portable microphone video games console the asset will be restored to its unencrypted state for use exclusively on the portable microphone video games console having the precise unique identifying code that encrypted the digital asset.
The portable microphone video games console of the invention may achieve the transmission of data to a computer network by a cable or wireless connection. Alternatively it may use an internal removable storage device that can be removed and combined with another computer that has a connection to a computer network therefore allowing data to be transferred to and from the removable storage media for use by the portable microphone video games console of the invention.
The portable microphone video games console of the invention may create and store in memory one or more profiles associated with the device that contains a database including installed assets, information regarding said installed assets, user preferences, user licenses, a history of user interaction with the device, personal information about the user or users of the device, user created data and other any other item present with the device or pertaining to the device or pertaining to a user. Profile data may be transmitted to a network that connects to a server that can store a copy of the profile and modify, create and remove digital assets contained in the memory of a the portable microphone video games console.
The portable microphone video games console of the invention contains a processor and memory that can run a software program and is a general purpose Turing machine.
The portable microphone video games console generates sounds and images that are reproduced on external devices such as audio systems and television displays which are transmitted to said external devices by a cable or wireless connection.
The portable microphone video games console may connect to an external computer by a cable or a wireless connection.
The portable microphone video games console may contain a source of power that is removable or a an internal source of power that is rechargeable power source or it may connect directly to an external power source either by a cable or wirelessly.
The form of the portable microphone video games console may be that of a traditional handheld pop microphone having a grippable stem continuing to a typically spherical enclosure exposing the acoustic diaphragm that as a single bodied item is held in one hand. Alternatively the form of portable microphone video games console maybe that of a typical studio microphone that has a stand that continues from a base to a hinge or cradle that connects an enclosure that exposes the acoustic diaphragm. An alternative embodiment of the portable microphone video games console maybe that of a wireless microphone that is typically used in live audio performance where a small box is fitted to a belt or concealed upon a person with a cabled or wireless connection to a small external microphone that is fixed at a point near the wearer's mouth.
