Abstract

A bedding system comprises connected upper and lower sheets with an opening defined at a top or head end and user-operable releasable fasteners along connected along opposing long sides, the fasteners being operable to expose panels of non-insulating or water retentive material. The user operable fastening or fasteners may extend along the bottom or foot end. The upper sheet may be in the form of a duvet cover and the lower sheet may comprise a fitted sheet provided with fixings, such as a flap, to secure it to a mattress. The releasable fasteners may be zippers, buttons, laces or hook and loop fastenings. The non-insulating material may comprise a mesh or netting material. The upper and lower sheets may be formed from polyester, cotton, wool, silk, micro-fibre or flannelette. In use, the bedding system provides a sheet sleeping bag or combined upper and lower sheet assembly with user adjustable ventilation panels so as to ensure a more comfortable and refreshing nights sleep.

Description

Cased multifunctional bedding adaptations
Field of the invention
In patent application GB1416752.2, a range of cased insdating bedding adaptations are conceived to provide improved all-round peripheral thermal ins&ation protection on a bed to improve comfort, health and wellbeing.
The present invention derived from GB1416752.2 proposes a range of cased ventilated and bedding adaptations providing significant ventilation and mosquito netting between the upper and lower sheets on a bed conceived for warmer climatic conditions, being easy to fit on a mattress and improved ventilated bedding adaptations. comprising a single or double cased sheet and/or blanket dependant on application, and may include fixed or detachable integrated water retentive lower sheet adaptations.
The upper sheet of the adaptation may include further ventilating shapes or patterns are open-able or closed at the sides via any suitable detachable andlor fixed fastening means, such detachable fastening means of the adaptations e.g., having one or more robust zippers made from any suitable materials, E.G; the zipper head design having handles on both the inner and olLtcr surface. so to be opened or closed inside or outside the adaptations. being made of either plastics or metals, and/or exterior buttons, that may include extensions, or hook and loop fastenings strips, or laced-up fastenings, or snap fasteners etc. in order to provide sealed or ventilated open-able space or non-thermal edge from the sides and feet of the adaptations, thus allowing more cooling air to pass through the bedding and interior heat to be let out, thus permitting more comfort, and controlled adjustabk warmth or ventilation between the casing adaptations however configured on a bed. Plus a variety of other innovative steps for superior ventilated and bug free bedding.
Background of the invention
We are all aware of just how uncomfortable and oppressive it can be trying to sleep in bed that is simply too hot and sticky, and/or in environments where the oppressive heat and insects can be a real irritant. This results in sleepless nights and frnstration. For instance a range of sealed light weight, robust and ventilated mosquito proof or netted yard fabric bedding adaptations are created to s&ve these issues and allow a more comfortable and refreshing night sleep we all desire.
Summary of the invention.
According to the present inventions, a range of integrated lightweight robust easy to fit ventilating cased sheet and/or blanket cased adaptations, for instance the upper sheet of the adaptation may include further ventilating shapes or patterns and designs are envisaged for beds, comprising either one or more lLppcr and lower non-insulating sheets dcpcndant on application. Alternatively, ventilating cased adaptations comprises integrated upper and lower sheet(s) and/or blanket of any suitable materials dependant on application, stitched and/or detachably fastened creating ventilated, and mosquito netted case designs open at the top. The described ventilated cased bedding adaptations includes peripheral edging of non-insulating material between the upper and lower sheets, allowing a way for the user to have more ventilation in-between the adaptation, with a user-operable fastening means to permit user opening of the casing.

NB. Therefore, such ventilated eased adaptations however created may include a zipper at the foot of the adaptations allowing easy access to lost items within die adaptations.
Such innovative cased sheeting andlor blanket adaptations provides significant ventilation and the possibility of mosquito or insect protection all-round the body on a bed. Such ventilated eased adaptations are envisaged as stand-alone bedding products for beds. The top layer also being foldable for ease of entrance and exit when in use. Such innovative Ventilated Tuck-me-in Trvl are standalone products.
Alternatively, The ventilated easy fit TM, or Ventilated Tuck-me-in TM, or All-in-one TM adaptations, however configured include an extra side peripheral edging of any suitable materials for instance elastieated materials integrating netted yard fabrics andlor open spaces dependant on design applications.
The ventilated edging or strips of the adaptation is located and stitched between the upper and lower layers to form a easing, allowing more room in-between the casing on the bed. The top layer sheet, or blanket outside edging include adjustablv controlled fastening means e.g., Zippers and/or buttons, or laced-corseted type fastenings, that may include further side paiiels, or any other suitable fastening means through the edges or side strips of the adaptation dependant on application.
Manually open able or closed fasteners are employed and located at one or either outside edging or the upper layer of the cased designs of the adaptations, rnnning along the full length or approximately half the length of the adaptation for manually adjustable control and adjustable sealed warmth, comfort and ventilation regulation levels between the upper and lower easing on beds. The top layer is also foldable for ease of entrance and exit of the adaptations when in use.
(Or the strips of ventilating materials are configured on the perimeter of the adaptations in an elongated 45 degree shape on the exterior of the easing, providing more room and ventilation comfort within the adaptations).

A range of "Ventilated Easy-fit bedding" TM, or "Ventilated Tuck-me-in bedding" TM, lightweight ventilated cased sheet and/or blanket adaptations configured with one or more apertures on the upper or lower sheets or edging, such apertures maybe covered with net yard fabrics, however visiLalised are adapted for all bed sizes and shapes, primarily to provide innovative and improved ventilation or insect protection, in a bed in warm climates, peripheral and/or upper and lower layers, thereby allowing a better night sleep in bed.
The Ventilated Tuck-me-in bedding adaptations TM, or Ventilated Easy-fit bedding TM adaptations may include durable Zipper designs made from polymer and/or metal construction wherein head is large enough to include large handles on both sides of the Zipper head, in order to Zip the adaptation open or close with ease from within or outside the adaptations, and thus may regulate temperature ventilation by moving the zipper up-down within it.
The Zip design is made from polymer and/or metal materials designed robust enough to withstand the stress of repeated desired use. Such Zips are located on one or either side of the outside edge of the bed casing allowing the top to be folded for e.g., either getting in or getting out of bed.
The Zippers for the ventilated cased bedding adaptations travels approximately half the length of the side of the adaptations on the bed. Although the zipper, or any suitable fastening means maybe designed to travel the full length of the sides of the adaptations. (It is also envisaged that standard zippers, and/or buttons, or lace fastenings etc., maybe employed in order to detachable seal the upper and lower side casing as explained).
Such ventilated cased bedding adaptations advantageously provide a wide range of cooling down bedding materials, in order that products adaptations for beds can be either made from the same materials or different material combinations, and of contrasting colours, primarily for hot climatic conditions.
NB. All embodiments of ventilated cased bedding constructions however adapted include a suitably sized flap strip of material surrounding the cased bases of the adaptations in order to be tucked under the mattress when in use, or the eased adaptations are designed having an elasticised base flap strip to be detachably fitted around the sides of the mattress, thereby such innovative ventilated, or netted yarn fabric cased sheets and/or blankets, or bedding designs etc., stop irritating midnight draughts that occur from the sides or corners of the bed when bedding is ruffled, or inappropriately fitting sheets are wrinkled and thereby also significantly reduces an overheated and uncomfortable night's sleep in bed as well.
NB. The ventilated easy fit TM. Ventilated Tuck-me-in TM. cased bedding adaptations are made from any suitable materials, or combinations of materials, being colour co-ordinated or reversible materials or combination of materials dependant on application, e.g., synthetic, polyester, Cotton, Wool, Silk, Micro fibres, netted yarn fabric. Flannelette materials etc., and/or even water retentive lower materials dependent on application. Comprising any suitable neutrals, colours. patterned or decorative printed design aesthetics, or sophisticated desirable design combinations, that are machine washable, or throw away products dependent on or application, Such adaptations include a peripheral flat sheet, or 4.

The described bedding adaptations are configured having any suitable sizes, shapes, and configuration to fit any adult bcd size, through to Children's bcds, or Cots.

* Integrated ventilated lightweight but robust and insulated cased adaptations, comprising one or more upper or lower sheets wherein the strip or edging integrating any suitable materials combinations being elasticated, mosquito netted yarn fabric or insulated dependent on applications.
* Integrated ventilated and insulated cased adaptations, comprising one or more upper or lower sheets.
* Integrated ventilated cased designs, where the bottom sheet consist of cotton padding, and the top aver comprises micro-fibre materials for added wannth. a zips, located on one or either side of die top edges of the casing located approximately half the length, or ifill length of the bed.
* The Integrated ventilated cased bed adaptations wherein the top and bottom huyers are the same materials.

CLAIM SI Lightweight ventilated Bedding adaptations, comprising sheets of upper and lower niatenals connected so as to provide a sealed ventilated casing with an opening at a top end, with peripheral edging of non-insulating or water retentive material between the upper and lower sheets, providing a way for the user to create more ventilation in-between the sheets, with a user-operable fastening means to permit user opening of the casing.
