Abstract

A multi layered tattoo practice pad comprising three layers of silicon and silicon gel. The pad represents the depths that ink for permanent tattoos or pigment for semi permanent tattoos, should be injected, thus ensuring that the users needle pressure is correct for the given application to ensure the ink or pigment is injected into the correct layer of skin. Preferably the top two layers of the pad can be peeled back independently of each other between practices to provide visual feedback to the depth at which the tattoo ink or pigment has been injected to ascertain whether it has been injected into the correct layer. Preferably the pad is embossed to provide raised and lowered areas similar to the face, eyes or body.

Description

Multi Layered Tattoo practice pad This invention relates to a multi layered tattoo practice pad.
When someone is learning to tattoo they traditionally use a single layer tattoo practice pads made of rubber. These pads not only provide a poor representation of what it actually feels like to tattoo skin, they provide no perception or feedback of how deep the ink is being injected which is critical in both permanent and semi-permanent tattooing.
For semi-permanent tattooing if pigment is tattooed too shallow then the results will not be retained, if they are tattooed too deep'y the colours will look grey.
For permanent tattooing if ink is tattooed too shallow then results will not he retained, if they are tattooed too deeply the colours will not be as bright To resolve these issues this invention proposes a multi layered tattoo practice pad made of silicone and silicone gels.
The invention is made up of three layers to more accurately represent the depths that ink (for permanent tattoo) or pigment (for semi-permanent tattoo) should he injected to thus ensuring that the users needle pressure is correct for the given application.
The top two layers of this invention will allow the user to peel them back and re-seal them between practices to provide visual feedback of which layer has been tattooed.
The materials used are of silicone and silicone gel: these materials also give the user a more realistic feeling of tattooing on skin.
The pad can also be embossed to further ensure the pad is realistic and not always consistent and flat, but has raised or lowered areas similar to the face, eyes or body.
Given the materials used and the composition of the three layers the invention aims to provide more accurate feedback during the training of tattoo artists and semi-permanent makeup artists. This invention will train needle pressure to ensure ink (for permanent tattoo) and pigment (for semi-permanent tattoo) is injected into the correct layer of skin.
The invention will now be described by way of example and with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1: shows the sealed layers of the flat tattoo practice pad Figure 2: shows a single peeled back layer of the flat tattoo practice pad Figure 3: shows both top layers peeled back
