Abstract
A rubber covered bollard to be used to address vehicle damage in car park, etc that consists of a steel core, protected by a thick soft rubber outer shell, which is able to rotate on its inner core. The rotating bollard may preferably be secured in the ground by means of concrete.
Description
Descrpton The Rotating Rubberised Bollard [RRBJ would simply replace existing steel bollards in their current locations. The difference with this invention would be two-fold with both improvements dependent on each other: 1. The exterior would be a hard-wearing, industrial strength rubberised jacket' that would significantly reduce vehicle damage when coming into contact with these bollards.
2. Secondly, and equally importantly, the bollard would rotate on a steel core'. This, combined with the rubberised exterior, would deflect and absorb impact in ways a traditional steel bollard is unable to. Remember, bollards in these locations are not acting as security measures but rather guides' and cosmetic protection of building exteriors at these locations.
