Description

A motor vehicle with a stowage apparatus beneath the rear window shelf
DESCRIPTION
The present invention relates to a motor vehicle according to the preamble of claim 1 and to a use according to claim 14.
Motor vehicles with an internal combustion engine and/or electric motor for driving a motor vehicle comprise a passenger compartment with vehicle seats for accommodating persons or passengers and a luggage boot for accommodating items to be stored. A rear section of a rear seat generally separates the luggage boot from the passenger compartment. The luggage boot is accessible from the outside by means of a pivotable tailgate in an open position, and the luggage boot is not accessible or closed from the outside in a closed position of the tailgate. A pivotable rear window shelf is arranged between the upper end region of a rear section of the rear seats and the tailgate. The rear window shelf is in mechanical operative connection with the tailgate, so that in a closed position of the tailgate the rear window shelf is also in a horizontal closed position in which the luggage boot cannot be visually inspected from the outside. During the opening of the tailgate, i.e. a pivoting of the tailgate about a swivel axis from a closed position to an open position, the rear window shelf is also pivoted from a closed or stowage position to an oblique open position as a result of the mechanical operative connection, so that the luggage boot is easily accessible when the rear window shelf is in the open position.
A stowage shelf in form of a stowage apparatus consisting of a tray-like container for passenger cars is known from DE 295 14 388 UI. The passenger car comprises a luggage boot which can be closed by means of a tailgate and a rear window shelf which can be pivoted with the tailgate and which rests on the lateral horizontal support surfaces of the luggage boot in the closed state of the tailgate, wherein thin, substantially horizontal flanges protrude laterally from the container on the lateral edges of the container, which lateral flanges are adjusted to the contour of the support surface for the rear window shelf and the container can be inserted between the rear window shelf and the support surface for the rear window shelf. The stowage shelf or stowage apparatus thus disadvantageously obstructs the accessibility of the luggage boot from the outside in the open position of the tailgate.
It is thus the object of the present invention to provide a motor vehicle and a use thereof in which the luggage boot can be accessed easily in a motor vehicle with a stowage apparatus beneath a rear window shelf even when the tailgate is open.
This object is achieved by a motor vehicle, comprising a drive motor, especially an internal combustion engine and/or an electric motor, a car body, a luggage boot for accommodating items to be stored, a movable tailgate for opening and closing the luggage boot, a movable rear window shelf which is in mechanical operative connection with the tailgate, so that the rear window shelf is movable in a first direction during opening of the tailgate and is movable in a second direction during closing of the tailgate, a stowage apparatus which is arranged beneath the rear window shelf for accommodating or storing items to be stored, wherein the stowage apparatus is in direct or indirect mechanical operative connection with the tailgate, so that during opening of the tailgate the stowage apparatus is movable in a first direction of the stowage apparatus and/or the stowage apparatus is movable in a second direction of the stowage apparatus during closing of the tailgate.
The stowage apparatus is in indirect or direct mechanical operative connection with the tailgate, so that the stowage apparatus is advantageously moved like the rear window shelf from a horizontal stowage or closing position to an open position during the opening of the tailgate, so that the luggage boot can be accessed more easily from the outside when the tailgate is open. The open position of the stowage apparatus is the position, especially the pivoting and!or translation position, of the stowage apparatus in which it is aligned at an acute angle in relation to a horizontal plane. In the case of a direct mechanical operative connection, the stowage apparatus is connected by means of a connecting cable or a connecting rod as a connecting means to the tailgate, and in the case of an indirect operative connection with the tailgate the stowage apparatus is fixed to the connecting cable on the rear window shelf and the rear window shelf is connected via s further connecting cable to the tailgate.
The stowage apparatus is especially arranged as a flat component with a support surface for items to be stored. Items to be stored can thus be positioned and stored on the support surface of the stowage apparatus, which is arranged as a base surface or a net for example. As a result, the motor vehicle comprises the additional support surface on the stowage apparatus for storing items to be stored in addition to the floor of. the luggage boot for storing items.
In a further embodiment, the extension of the stowage apparatus in one longitudinal direction of the motor vehicle substantially corresponds to the extension of the rear window shelf in the longitudinal direction of the motor vehicle, and/or the extension of the stowage apparatus in a transverse direction of the motor vehicle substantially corresponds to the extension of the rear window shelf in the transverse direction of the vehicle, and/or the stowage apparatus is aligned substantially horizontally when the tailgate is closed. The substantially similar extension in the longitudinal and/or transverse direction of the stowage apparatus preferably means that the extension of the stowage apparatus in the longitudinal and/or transverse direction corresponds to the extension of the rear window shelf in the longitudinal and/or transverse direction of the motor vehicle with a deviation of less than 30 %, 20 %, 10 % or 5 %. A substantially horizontal alignment with the closed tailgate means that a fictitious plane produced by the stowage apparatus is aligned with a deviation of less than 20°, 100 and 5Q in relation to a horizontal plane. This stowage apparatus is a flat component with a substantially flat support surface, so that the support surface and/or the stowage apparatus thus produce the substantially horizontal fictitious plane when the tailgate is closed.
In a supplementary embodiment, the stowage apparatus is arranged as a net or at least a stowage compartment or at least a drawer. The stowage apparatus can thus be arranged in different variants, e.g. as a net, a stowage compartment or a drawer. The net can also be slightly elastic and a fictitious plane produced by the net preferably corresponds to a fictitious plane produced by a frame for the net.
The stowage apparatus preferably comprises a frame, and the net or the at least one stowage compartment or the at least one drawer is fixed to the frame.
The frame is arranged with an adjustable width and/or length in one variant.
The stowage apparatus is appropriately fixed to a fastening part, especially in that flanges which are preferably fixed to the frame rest on the fastening part.
In a further embodiment, the rear window shelf is fixed to the identical fastening part to which the stowage apparatus is also fixed. The rear window shelf and also the stowage apparatus are fixed to the identical fastening part, especially a side trim part, so that no additional fastening part for the stowage apparatus is necessary. The stowage apparatus is thus also not directly fixed to the rear window shelf, so that the rear window shelf only needs to absorb low forces because the entire forces to be absorbed by the items to be stored on the stowage apparatus are transmitted directly from the stowage apparatus to the fastening part and not to the rear window shelf, because the stowage apparatus is not fixed to the rear window shelf.
The fastening part is especially a side trim part of the luggage boot. The side trim part is a plastic part for example which covers the body of the motor vehicle.
In a supplementary variant, the rear window shelf is pivotably mounted about a pivoting axis for the rear window shelf and/or the stowage apparatus is pivotably mounted about a pivoting axis for the stowage apparatus. The pivoting axis for the rear window shelf and the pivoting axis for the stowage apparatus are preferably aligned in the transverse direction of the motor vehicle and preferably aligned horizontally.
In an additional embodiment, the vertical distance of the substantially vertically aligned rear window shelf is less than 50%, 40%, 30%, 20% or 10% of the vertical distance of the rear window shelf from the floor of the luggage boot when the tailgate is closed.
In a further variant, the first direction of the rear window shelf and the first direction of the stowage apparatus are respectively an identical pivoting direction, and/or the second direction of the rear window shelf and the second direction of the stowage apparatus are respectively an identical pivoting direction. Preferably, the first direction of the rear window shelf and the first direction of the stowage apparatus are aligned in the opposite direction in relation to the second direction of the rear window shelf and the second direction of the stowage apparatus. These directions are preferably pivoting directions about the pivoting axis for the rear window shelf and about the pivoting axis for the stowage apparatus.
In an additional embodiment, the rear window shelf and the stowage apparatus are mechanically coupled to the tailgate in such a way that the distance covered by the rear window shelf and the stowage apparatus during opening and closing, especially during complete opening and closing, is identical to that of the tailgate, or the distance covered by the stowage apparatus is less than 80%, 60% or 50% of the distance covered by the rear window shelf during opening or closing, especially during complete opening and closing, of the tailgate.
The rear window shelf and/or the stowage apparatus are preferably mounted in such a way that the rear window shelf and/or the stowage apparatus are movable in a rotary and/or translatory movement.
The use in accordance with the invention of at least one stowage apparatus in a motor vehicle as described in this patent application.
Items to be stored are stored and/or are positioned especially on the stowage apparatus.
Embodiments of the invention are described below in closer detail by reference to the enclosed drawings, wherein: Fig. 1 shows a side view of a motor vehicle; Fig. 2 shows a side view of a rear end region of the motor vehicle according to Fig. I with a fully opened tailgate and a rear window shelf and a stowage apparatus in a fully open position; Fig. 3 shows a side view of the rear end region of the motor vehicle according to Fig. 1 with the completely opened tailgate and rear window shelf in a fully open position and the stowage apparatus in a partial open position; Fig. 4 shows a side view of the rear end region of the motor vehicle according to Fig. I with the completely opened tailgate and the rear window shelf in a fully open position and the stowage apparatus in a horizontal closed position; Fig. 5 shows a perspective rear view of the motor vehicle according to Fig. 1 with the tailgate in the open position and the stowage apparatus in a first embodiment; Fig. 6 shows a perspective rear view of the motor vehicle according to Fig. I with the tailgate in the open position and the stowage apparatus in a second embodiment; Fig. 7 shows a perspective rear view of the motor vehicle according to Fig. I with the tailgate in the open position and the stowage apparatus in a third embodiment; Fig. 8 shows a perspective view of the frame of the stowage apparatus according to Fig. 5 in the first embodiment; Fig. 9 shows a perspective view of the tube with a latched connection of the frame according to Fig. 8; Fig. 10 shows a perspective view of the tube with the screwed connection of the frame according to Fig. 8; Fig. 11 shows a tube as a telescopic tube of the frame according to Fig. 8; Fig. 12 shows a tube with a cutting point for the frame; Fig. 13 shows a perspective view of the rear window shelf, and Fig. 14 shows a perspective view of a side trim part as the fastening part and an additional side trim part.
A motor vehicle 1 shown in Fig. 1 comprises a car body 5. The motor vehicle 1 can be driven by means of at least one drive motor 2, e.g. an intemal combustion engine 3 and/or an electric motor 4. The body 5 of the motor vehicle 1 delimits both a passenger compartment 6 for accommodating passengers and a luggage boot 7 for accommodating items 9 to be stored.
The luggage boot 7 is accessible from the outside by means of a pivotable tailgate 8 in the open position of the tailgate 8, and vehicle doors for allowing passengers to enter into and exit from the passenger compartment 6 are arranged laterally on the car body 5. The passenger compartment 6 comprises several seats 22, namely two front seats 21 as the driver's seat and the front passenger seat and three rear seats 23 which are connected to each other into a rear bench.
A pivotable rear window shelf 10 made of plastic is arranged between the upper end region or the upper end of a rear section of the rear seats 23 and the tailgate 8. The rear window shelf 10 is a flat component and is pivotably mounted on the motor vehicle 1 about a pivoting axis 13 of the rear window shelf. Two bearing supports 11 are present in a front end region laterally on the rear window shelf 10, which bearing supports 11 are aligned in parallel with respect to each other with an identical axis (Fig. 13). The rear window shelf 10 rests laterally on one respective side trim part 26 as the fastening part 25 with a fastening support surface 27 in a closed position of the tailgate 8, so that a lateral bottom boundary region of the rear window shelf 10 rests on one respective fastening support surface 27. A bearing recess 28 is arranged on the side trim part 26, in which one respective bearing support 11 is mounted and arranged. The motor vehicle I comprises two side trim parts 26 on the lateral regions of the car body 5 in the luggage boot 7. The bearing supports 11 can also be removed completely from the bearing recesses 28.
One respective additional trim part 24 (Fig. 14), which is also made of plastic, is present beneath the side trim parts 26, and the additional trim part 24 is guided up to a luggage boot floor 12 which delimits the bottom end of the luggage boot 7 and is used for supporting items 9 to be stored.
The rear window shelf 10 is also in mechanical operative connection with the tailgate 8. For this purpose, an upper end of a connecting cable 40 is fixed as a connecting means to the tailgate & and a first fixing ball 41 is laterally fixed to the rear window shelf 10. The motor vehicle I comprises two identical connecting cables 40 with one respective first fixing ball 41, so that the rear window shelf 10 is in mechanical operative connection with the tailgate 8 by means of the two connecting cables 40 on the lateral regions of the tailgate 8. When the tailgate 5 is opened from a closed position to an open position according to Figs. 2 to 7, the rear window shelf 10 is automatically pivoted from a horizontal closed position to an open position as a result of the mechanical operative connection with the connecting cable 40.
The rear window shelf 10 is aligned in a substantially horizontal direction in the closed position of the tailgate 8, and a substantially horizontal stowage apparatus 14 is present at a slight distance beneath the rear window shelf 10 in the closed position of the tailgate 8. The stowage apparatus l4is a flat component with a support surface 44 for supporting items 9 to be stored and is mounted in the transverse direction of the motor vehicle 1 on the motor vehicle I about a pivoting axis 39 of the stowage apparatus. The stowage apparatus 14 is also in direct mechanical operative connection with the tailgate 8 by means of the connecting cable 40. For this purpose, a second fixing ball 42 is arranged beneath the first fixing ball 41 on the connecting cable 40 and is connected to a rear end region of the stowage apparatus 14.
When the tailgate 8 is opened from the closed position to the open position, the stowage apparatus 14 co-moves in an identical fashion with the rear window shelf 10 in the first variant as shown in Fig. 2, so that in the open position of the tailgate 8 both the rear window shelf 10 and also the stowage apparatus 14 are aligned in parallel with respect to each other, so that the distance covered by the rear window shelf 10 and the stowage apparatus 14 during the opening or closing of the tailgate 8 is substantially identical. In the case of fixing a third fixing ball 43 at the bottom end of the two connecting cables 40 to the stowage apparatus 14 in the second variant according to Fig. 3, only the rear window shelf 10 is pivoted at first during the opening of the tailgate 8 in a first pivoting angle range and the stowage apparatus 14 is not moved at first. The stowage apparatus 14 is pivoted about the pivoting axis 39 of the stowage apparatus by means of the third fixing ball 43 only in a second opening angle range of the tailgate 8, so that in the complete open position of the tailgate 8 according to the illustration in Fig. 3 the stowage apparatus 14 is inclined at a smaller angle in relation to a horizontal plane than the rear window shelf 10, and during the opening or closing of the tailgate 8 the distance covered by the stowage apparatus 14 is only 50% for example of the distance covered by the rear window shelf 10 between the fully closed and open position. In the third variant shown in Fig. 4, the third fixing ball 43 is not connected to the stowage apparatus 14, so that only the rear window shelf 10 is moved during the opening of the tailgate 8 and the stowage apparatus 14 remains unchanged in the horizontal closed or support position.
Figs. 5, 8 and 9 to 12 show a first embodiment of the stowage apparatus 14.
The stowage apparatus 14 comprises a net 15 which is fixed to a substantially rectangular frame 30. The frame 30 consisting of plastic or metal consists of tubes 32 and a respective L-shaped flange 31 is fixed to the corner regions of said frame 30. The horizontally aligned part of flange 31 lies on the fastening support surface 27 of the two side trim parts 26, like the rear window shelf 10. The two rear flanges 31 rest on a rear end region of the fastening support surface 27 and the two front flanges 31 rest on a front end region of the fastening support surface 27 and are limited in their movement to the front on the fastening support surface 27, because a bearing elevation 29 obstructs and limits the movement of the two front flanges 31. During the pivoting of the stowage apparatus 14 about the pivoting axis 39 of the stowage apparatus, the two front flanges 31 can no longer be moved in the forward direction, so that the pivoting axis 39 of the stowage apparatus is present in the two bearing elevations 29. For the purpose of adjusting the stowage apparatus 14 with the net 15 in the first embodiment, the tubes 32 are arranged as telescopic tubes 37. As a result, it is only necessary to respectively push the telescopic tubes 37 into each other for motor vehicles I with a differently large luggage boot 7 in order to thus obtain differently large stowage apparatuses 14. It is merely necessary to fix a net 15 of different size thereto in the production of the frame 10. The fixing of the tubes 32 which are movable into each other as telescopic tubes 37 occurs by means of a latched connection 33 (Fig. 9) for example in that a latching borehole 34 is arranged in a tube 32, into which a movable latching element 35 latches which is pressurised by an elastic element. Deviating from this configuration, this connection can also be arranged as a screwed connection 36 (Fig. 10). It is also possible to sever tubes 32 by culling or sawing for example and to thus receive tubes 32 of different length for motor vehicles 1 with a luggage boot 7 of different size. A cutting point 38 is thus provided on the tube 32 where the tube 32 can be severed.
Fig. 6 shows a second embodiment of the stowage apparatus 14. Only the differences from the first embodiment according to Fig. 5 will be described below. The stowage apparatus 14, which is also substantially rectangular, comprises a base wall 18 which forms the support surface 44 for supporting storage items 9 on the stowage apparatus 14, and a completely circumferential, vertically aligned side wall 19 is present in the end region of the base wall 14, which side wall also forms the frame 30. The space enclosed by the base wall 18 and the side wall 19 is separated by a separating wall 20, so that the stowage apparatus 14 is provided with two separated stowage compartments 16. One respective flange 31 is fixed in the corner regions of said stowage apparatus 14 with the two stowage compartments 16 in a manner similar to the first embodiment.
Fig. 7 shows a third embodiment of the stowage apparatus 14. Only the differences from the first embodiment according to Fig. 5 will substantially be described below. The stowage apparatus 14 comprises a rectangular base wall 18 and a side wall 19 only on the rear and lateral region of the base wall 18. Three drawers 17 are movably mounted on the base wall 18 and on the side wall 19. Items can be stored separately within the drawers 17, and storage items 9 in the drawer 17 can be removed easily by pulling out the drawers 17 even in the case of a rear window shelf 10 and a stowage apparatus 14 in a horizontal closed position.
For the purpose of removing storage items from the stowage apparatus 14, the rear window shelf 10 can additionally be pivoted upwardly manually by the user of the motor vehicle 1 when the tailgate 8 is open or the rear window shelf 10 above the stowage apparatus 40 can be removed completely and the storage items 9 on the stowage apparatus 14 can thus be removed and inserted easily. The stowage apparatus 14 is supplied in the production of the motor vehicle I as an optional accessory, or it can be purchased subsequently by the user of the motor vehicle I from specialist dealers, especially authorised repairers of the motor vehicle 1.
All told, the motor vehicle 1 in accordance with the invention offers essential advantages. The additional stowage apparatus 14 for storage items 9 is provided beneath the rear window shelf 10, so that storage items 9 can also be stored and kept on the stowage apparatus 14 in addition to the luggage boot floor 12. When the tailgate 8 is opened, the stowage apparatus 14 is pivoted together with the rear window shelf 101 so that the luggage boot 7 can be accessed in a substantially unobstructed manner when the tailgate 8 is open and is not obstructed by the stowage apparatus 14 concerning the accessibility for loading and unloading the storage items 9, especially larger storage items 9.
At least one embodiment was described, wherein notice must be taken that there are a large number of variants in respect of said embodiment. Notice must also be taken that the embodiment or the embodiments are only examples and it is therefore not intended to limit the scope of protection, the applicability or feasibility or the configuration in any way. The above description provides the person skilled in the art with a suitable instruction for implementing at least one embodiment. It is understood that various changes can be made concerning the function and the arrangement of the described component in an exemplary embodiment without departing from the scope of protection of the claims below and the equivalents of the claims below.
