Abstract

A hair curler or roller comprises an inner tubular frame with an externally projecting comb attached along the length of the frame. An outer material covering consisting of looped nylon fibres is wrapped around the frame, the covering including a slit through which the comb extends. The frame is preferably heat-retaining and formed from aluminium. In use hair is wound around the roller and is held in place by the comb.

Description

The velcro hair sleeve is similar to a hair curler but is twice the length, with a fitted comb along one side.

It is made from an aluminium heat-retaining frame (figure 1) the frame is l3cms in length and comes in various widths to correspond with different size hairbrushes.

Then a flexible plastic comb (figure 2) is fixed to the frame.

Statement of invention

Using a newly designed HAIRBRUSH SLEEVE will alleviate these problems halving the amount of time using heat products. Because the sleeve is light weight it does not tug on hair, because it is not bristled it does not get tangled in the hair, because it Is twice as tong as a normal curler, hair is dried twice as quickly and half the amount of curlers are used.

Liz rumble Advantages Using this newly designed HAIRBRUSH SLEEVE, will half the drying time, thus less damage to the hair caused by heat and also give a salon finish lasting for days.

The velcro sleeve is the same length of a hairbrush and used as a sleeve that slips on and off the hairbrush, it has a built in comb down one side. This holds the sleeve in place without marking the hair. It Is used with a corresponding sized hairbrush.

Hair is taken in sections enough to cover the length of hairbrush, hair is brushed through, and then the HAIRBRUSH SLEEVE is slipped over the brush and wound up as with normal blow-drying. Hot air from the hair dryer dries the hair, heats the HAIRBRUSH SLEEVE at the same time, hot air is blown down the end of the hairbrush, heating the ends of the hair inside the sleeve. The hairbrush enables control over the section of hair and protects the hand from burning which happens if one were to just use a curler. Once this section is dry, the brush is pulled out, leaving the hair to set round the sleeve while it is cooling down. The inserted comb helps hold in place and does not cause a dent or mark in the hair that a clip does, also Is quicker as do not need to add clip.

Also, as hair is held In the sleeve, it stops the already dried hair being blown around by the hair dryer working on the next section.

There is no other hair product that slips over the bristles of the hairbrush covering the whole length.

Once the hair has naturally cooled down which is about the time it takes to do the whole head of hair, using approximately 9 hair sleeves, the sleeves are removed, combing hair through with the use of the inbuilt comb.

This will leave full bouncy healthy hair, because this lasts for days, it also is good for the condition of hair.
