DESCRIPTION

The present patent relates to accessories for hairdressers and in particular it concerns a new improved curler.

Among the accessories commonly used by hairdressers are known curlers, substantially cylindrical objects around which a lock of hair is wrapped several times, in order to modify its shape.

For example, folding curlers are known, formed by a cylindrical wall, ie internally hollow and open at the ends, to allow the passage of air and humidity. This type of curlers is used by wrapping a lock of hair, generally wet or damp, several times and externally to said cylindrical wall, and applying heat to it, so that, once the curler has been removed after a certain time interval, said lock takes on the desired shape, crease or undulation.

To allow furnaces and the passage of air and humidity, said cylindrical wall is generally made of rigid but transpiring material, for example of rigid, plastic or metal mesh. To ensure the stable winding of the lock of hair, the external surface of said curlers is provided with protruding elements or threads or means for locking the hair.

Permanent curlers are also known, formed by a cylindrical body full or in any case closed at the ends, around which the lock of hair is wrapped several times, in turn treated with special perming substances, aimed at modifying the shape, fold or undulation of the lock itself.

The result obtained from the application of said type of curlers consists in making locks of hair substantially shaped like a corkscrew.

The size of the curlers chosen, i.e. their diameter, is determined by the length of the hair but also by the radius of curvature of the undulation to be obtained.

Therefore, the hairdresser must have various types of curlers available, of various sizes and in sufficient numbers to serve more than one user.

Other types of accessories used to shape the hair are also known, such as for example curlers in the form of elongated and deformable elements, which, rolled or variously arranged with a lock of hair, gives the lock itself the desired shape.

Also known are accessories formed by a sort of socket, ie a cylindrical body closed at one end, while the opposite, open end is constrained to an annular element by means of an extensible elastic membrane.

By inserting a lock of hair inside said annular element and said elastic membrane in an elongated configuration, and then letting the elastic membrane retract, the lock of hair inside wraps itself in a disordered way, adhering to the membrane itself, without the possibility of intervene to modify its shape.

The result obtained by applying this type of accessory is therefore difficult to predict and often may not meet the taste and needs of the customer.

In addition to this, the body of the glass is rigid and can be extremely uncomfortable for the user. Furthermore, since the cup and the membrane are made of non-transpiring material, the lock is not allowed to dry, thus limiting the possibilities of using this type of accessory. The subject of the present patent is a new type of improved curler.

The aim of the present invention is that it can be used in various ways according to the result to be obtained and the length of the user's hair.

Another object of the present invention is that of being able to obtain diversified results according to requirements, being able to shape the hair on all or part of its length.

Another purpose is to obtain a natural result of the modeled hair. Another purpose is to be able to use the same curler to make different models.

Another object of the present invention is to be comfortable for the user, since the new curler is extremely light and flexible.

These and other direct and complementary purposes are achieved by the new improved curler comprising in its main parts;

a tubular element or sleeve made of flexible material, with at least a first open end for the insertion of a determined quantity of hair, totally or partially contained in said sleeve;

at least one thread, ribbon or other means adapted to cause the curling of said sleeve containing the hair, said at least one thread being constrained in proximity to or in correspondence with said first end of said sleeve and inserted in a through way and in a substantially longitudinal direction in one or more holes or seats or slots made on the sleeve itself,

and where said sleeve containing the hair is adapted to be deformed from a generically extended configuration, in which said hair is undeformed, to a totally or partially curled configuration, in which said hair is correspondingly deformed, said curled configuration being obtained by maintaining substantially stretching said at least one thread and bringing the second end of the sleeve closer to said first open end.

Said curled configuration is in particular formed by a succession of alternating opposite concavity curves.

In particular, said at least one thread is tied with a first end to said first end of said sleeve, while the second end is free and preferably protrudes from said second end of the sleeve, to facilitate gripping by the user.

In the preferred solution, said new curler comprises at least two of said threads or ribbons positioned parallel to each other and in opposite positions with respect to a diameter of said sleeve, so as to ensure symmetry in the curling obtained. Said at least two threads or tapes can be joined at one end into a single thread arranged in a U shape or they are two distinct threads.

In particular, each of said threads passes through a plurality of holes or slots or seats substantially aligned in the longitudinal direction on said sleeve, at regular or non-regular intervals.

It can be envisaged that said holes are made, on said flattened sleeve, near the lateral edges of the sleeve, affecting both the upper and lower halves of the sleeve itself.

It is also possible to provide that the arrangement of said threads can be chosen by the user, which can be inserted in all said holes or only part of them, so as to selectively vary the degree of curling of the sleeve.

It can be envisaged that said sleeve comprises, instead of said holes or slots or seats, a single longitudinal elongated slot for each of said yarns, for example placed externally or internally to the sleeve itself.

The new curler also preferably comprises stop means, suitable for preventing the sliding of said sleeve with respect to said thread, locking said sleeve in said fully or partially curled configuration.

Said stop means are, for example, common spring-loaded cord stoppers preferably mounted on the side of the second end of said wires, but the use of any other device useful for the same purpose is not excluded. In the preferred solution, said sleeve is made of breathable material. In the simpler and preferred solution, said sleeve is made of breathable or mesh fabric.

The new improved curler is therefore extremely light, has no rigid parts that can be uncomfortable, and is flexible, adapting in all its parts to the user's head.

Said second end of the sleeve is preferably also open, to allow the part of the tip of the hair which may not need to be curled or in any case shaped, to protrude from said second end.

Said sleeve has a length preferably sufficient to contain entirely, in an extended conformation, a hair of medium-long length, ie from the redice to the tip.

For example, said sleeve has a length of about 30 cm, but it can in any case have any length.

The new curler can therefore be used to shape the entire length of the hair or even just a part of it.

For example, to shape the hair only in a part between an intermediate point and the tip, leaving the part close to the root undeformed, it is sufficient to curl only a portion of the length of said sleeve, and in particular the one that contains the part of the hair. to model.

According to another example of use, to model only an intermediate part or the part close to the root of the hair, it is sufficient to bring out the part of the tip from said second end, and to curl said sleeve, correspondingly deforming the part of hair contained therein.

Once said sleeve has been curled, it must be locked in said curled configuration by means of said stop means and fixed by one or more fastening means, for example at the hair root. Said fastening means can be common stork beaks, hairpins or hair pliers.

At this point, after a certain time interval, depending on the type of treatment of the hair strand, with perming agents and / or with water alone, and subsequent drying, it is possible to remove the fixing means, said locking means and therefore unfold said sleeve, removing the hair from the inside.

From this procedure we obtain a natural modeling of the hair that will not have a corkscrew shape or messy or unpredictable, but wavy in a natural way, where the width of the waves is greater or less according to the greater or lesser degree of curling performed on said sleeve.

The new improved curler can be usefully used for both hair permanent and styling processes, being breathable and therefore allowing air and moisture to flow through the sleeve. The characteristics of the new curler will be better clarified by the following description with reference to the drawing tables, attached by way of non-limiting example.

It is a new curler (1) for modeling a generic lock of hair (H), comprising a tubular element or sleeve (2) made of flexible material, with at least one first open end (21) for the insertion of said lock of hair (H), contained in said sleeve (2) in all or part of their length.

Said first end (21) is adapted to be tied to the hair by means of a common stork's beak or other fastening means, for example at the root of the hair.

In the preferred solution, the opposite end (22) of said sleeve (2) is also open.

The new curler (1) also comprises at least one but preferably at least one pair of threads (3), substantially parallel to each other and in opposite positions with respect to a diameter of said sleeve (2), where each of said threads (3) is constrained with an end (31) near or in correspondence with said first end (21) of said sleeve (2) and inserted passing through and in a substantially longitudinal direction (X) in one or more holes or seats or slots (23) made on the sleeve (2) itself.

The second end (32) of each of said threads (3) instead protrudes from the second end (22) of said sleeve (2) for grip by the user.

Said sleeve (2) is capable of being deformed from a generically extended configuration (A), in which said hair (H) contained therein is undeformed (fig. 2), to a configuration that is wholly (B) or partially curled ( C) (fig. 3, 4) in which said hair (H) is correspondingly deformed, said curled configuration (B, C) being obtained by keeping said at least one thread (3) substantially taut and approaching said second end (22) of the sleeve (2) itself to said first open end (21). In the preferred solution, each of said threads (3) passes through a plurality of holes or slots or seats (23) substantially aligned in the longitudinal direction (X) on said sleeve (2), at regular or non-regular intervals.

For example, said holes (23) are made on said sleeve (2) flattened near the side edges (24, 25) of the sleeve (2), affecting both the upper and lower halves (26, 27) of the sleeve ( 2) itself.

For example, said holes (23) are the meshes of the net with which said sleeve (2) is made.

The new curler (1) also comprises one or more stop means (4), for example common rope stops, for example mounted on the side of said second end (32) of said wires (3), designed to prevent the sliding of said sleeve (2) with respect to said threads (3) locking said sleeve in said curled configuration (C).

These are the schematic modalities sufficient for the skilled person to realize the invention, consequently, in concrete application there may be variations without prejudice to the substance of the innovative concept.

Therefore, with reference to the preceding description and to the attached table, the following claims are expressed.

Claims (10)

CLAIMS 1. Curler (I) for modeling a generic lock of hair (H), characterized by the fact that it includes: at least one tubular element or sleeve (2) made of flexible material, with at least a first open end (21) for the insertion of said lock of hair (H), contained in said sleeve (2) in all or part of their length ; at least one thread (2), tape or other means able to cause the curling of said sleeve (2), said at least one thread (3) being constrained in proximity to or in correspondence with said first end (21) of said sleeve (2 ) and inserted passing through and in a substantially longitudinal direction (X) in one or more holes or seats or slots (23) made on the sleeve (2) itself, and where said sleeve (2) is capable of being deformed from a generically extended configuration (A), in which said hair (H) contained therein is undeformed, to a configuration that is wholly (B) or partially curled (C), in which said hair (H) is correspondingly deformed, said curled configuration (B, C) being obtained by keeping said at least one thread (3) substantially taut and bringing the second end (22) of the sleeve (2) closer to said first open end ( 21) of the sleeve (2) itself. 2. Curler (1) as per claim 1, characterized in that said at least one thread (3) is bound with a first end (31) in proximity to said first end (21) of said sleeve (2), while the second garment (32) protrudes from said second end (22) of said sleeve (2) for grip by the user. 3. Curler (1) as per claim 1 or 2, characterized in that it comprises at least two of said wires or tapes (3) substantially parallel to each other and in opposite positions with respect to a diameter of said sleeve (2). 4. Curler (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that each of said threads (3) passes through a plurality of holes or slots or seats (23) substantially aligned in the longitudinal direction (X) on said sleeve (2), at regular intervals or not. 5. Curler (1) as per claim 4, characterized in that said holes (23) are made on said sleeve (2) flattened near the side edges (24, 25) of the sleeve (2), affecting both halves ( 26, 27), upper and lower, of the sleeve (2) itself. 6. Curler (1) according to any one of claims 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, characterized by the fact that said wires (3) are selectively inserted in all said holes (23) or only in part of them, so to selectively vary the degree of curling of said sleeve (2), 7. Curler (1) according to any one of claims 1, 2, 3, characterized in that said sleeve (2) comprises a single longitudinal elongated slot for each of said threads (3), placed in said longitudinal direction (X ) externally or internally to the sleeve (2) itself. 8. Curler (1) as in any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises one or more stop means (4), designed to prevent the sliding of said sleeve (2) with respect to said thread (3) by locking said sleeve in said fully or partially curled configuration (B, C). Curler (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said sleeve (2) is made of transpiring or mesh material. 10.
