Description

SUSPENDED LAMP DEVICE
The invention relates to a lamp device, and more particularly to a suspended lamp device.
A conventional suspended lamp device includes a S suspension element, alampseatsecuredtothesLlspension element, a light bulb, for example, a light emitting diode (LED) light bulb, electrically connected to the lamp seat, and a lamp shade secured to the lamp seat for covering over the whole light bulb. Such LED light bulb is usually configured with a heat dissipation structure, which consists of, for example, a plurality of heat-dissipating fins, to dissipate heat produced by the LED light bulb.
However, in such a configuration, since the heat dissipation structure of the LED light bulb is covered by the lamp shade, heat radiated from the heat dissipation structure easily accumulates on the lamp shade, thereby adversely affecting the heat-dissipating efficiency of the LED light bulb.
In addition, since the lamp shade of the conventional suspended lamp device is integrally combined with the lamp seat to fotm a single piece, the lamp shade cannot be independently replaced. Therefore, the appearance of the conventional suspended lamp device is non-variable unless the lamp seat is replaced along with the lamp shade.
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a suspended lamp device that can overcome the
aforesaid drawbacks of the prior art.
According to the present invention, a suspended lamp device comprises a lamp seat, a light emitting diode (LED) lightbulb, a shade-mount..ir'g ring, andalampshade.
The lamp seat is used to be secured to a suspension element.
The LED light bulb has a conductive upper head portion inserted into and electrically connected to the lamp seat, a lower illuminating portion, and an intermediate heat-dissipating portion interconnecting the upper head portion and the lower illuminating portion. The shade-mounting ring is fittingly sleeved on the LED light bulb. The lamp shade is detachably mounted to the shade-mounting ring for only covering the lower illuminating portion of the LED light bulb.
Other features and advantages of the present invention will become apparent in the following detailed description of the preferred embodiment with reference to the accompanying drawings, of which: Figure 1 is an exploded perspective view showing the preferred embodiment of a suspended lamp device according to the present invention; Figure 2 is a partly schematic sectional view of the preferred embodiment; Figure 3 isa fragmentary, partly schematic sectional view illustrating the relationship among an LED light bulb, a shade-mounting ring and a lamp shade of the preferred embodiment; and Figure 4 is schematic sectional view showing a variation of the preferred embodiment.
ReferringtoFiguresland2, thepreferredembodiment of a suspended lamp device according to the present invention is shown to include a lamp seat 2, a light emitting diode (LED) light bulb 3, a shade-mounting ring 4, and a lamp shade 5.
The lamp seat 2 is used to be secured to a bottom end of a suspension element 1, such as a cord, and has a conducting structure 21 that is made of metal.
The LED light bulb 3 has a conductive upper head portion 31, a lower illuminating portion 33, and an intermediate heat-dissipating portion 32 interconnecting the upper head portion 31 and the lower illuminating portion 33. The upper head portion 31 is inserted into the lamp seat 2 and is electrically connected to the conductive portion 21 of the lamp seat 2. It should be noted that the intermediate heat-dissipating portion 32 can be provided with a heat dissipation structure (not shown) thereon, which consists, for example, of a plurality of heat-dissipating fins, for heat dissipation purposes.
In this embodiment, the intermediate heat-dissipating portion 32 gradually increases in diameter toward the lower illuminating portion 33. The lower illuminating portion 33 is provided with a plurality of LED dies (not shown) therein.
The shade-mounting ring 4 is fittingly sleeved on the LED light bulb 3, and surrounds a junction 34 between the intermediate heat-dissipating portion 32 and the lower illuminating portion 33 of the LED light bulb 3, as shown in Figure 2. In this embodiment, the shade-mounting ring 4 is preferably made of an elastic and heat-resistant material, which is a silicone-based material, such as, silicone resin and silicone rubber.
Referring further to Figure 3, the shade-mounting ring 4 includes an annular main body 41 and an annular flange 42. The annular main body 41 of the shade-mounting ring 4 has an annular top surface 411, an annular bottom surface 416, an inner surrounding surface 412 interconnecting radIal inner ends of the annular top surface 411 and the annular bottom surface 416, and an outer surrounding surface 413 interconnecting radial outer ends of the annular top surface 411 and the annular bottom surface 416. The inner surrounding surface 412 abuts against the LED light bulb 3 and surrounds the junction 34 between the intermediate heat-dissipating portion 32 and the lower illuminating portion 33 of the LED light bulb 3.The outer surrounding surface 413 is formed with an annular engaging groove 414. Preferably, eachoftheannulartopsurface 4llandtheannularbottom surface 416 of the annular main body 41 is formed with a plurality of concentric annular grooves 415 such that the flexibility of the annular main body 41 of the shade-mounting ring 4 is increased. Since the shade-mounting ring 4 has the increased flexibility, the shade-mounting ring 4 can be easily assembled to or detached from the LED lamp bulb 3. In this embodiment, the annular flange 42 integrally and upwardly extends from the annular top surface 411 of the annular main body 41, and has an inner surrounding surface 421 that abuts against the intermediate heat-dissipating portion 32 of the LED light bulb 3. It is noted that the annular flange 42 can be extended upward and inward to enhance stability between the shade-mounting ring 4 and the LED light bulb 3.
The lamp shade S is detachably mounted to the IS shade-mounting ring 4 for only covering over the lower illuminating portion 33 of the LED light bulb 3. The lamp shade 5 has an upper open end 50 that is formed with a radially and inwardly extending annular engaging flange 51 that detachably engages the annular engaging groove 414 in the outer surrounding surface 413 of the annular main body 41 of the shade-mounting ring 4.
It is noted that the lamp shade 5 only covers the lower illuminating portion 33 of the LED light bulb 3, i.e., the intermediate heat-dissipating portion 32 of the LED light bulb 3 is exposed from the lamp shade 5.
As a result, heat produced by the LED light bulb 3 can be easily and rapidly dissipated through the exposed heat-dissipating portion 32 of the LED light bulb 3.
In addition, since the lamp shade 5 is detachably mounted to the shade-mounting ring 4, the lamp shade S can be easily replaced by another lamp shade, which has a different shape and an upper open end identical to the upper open end 50 of the lamp shade 5, without replacing the lamp seat 2. Therefore, due to the presence of the shade-mounting ring 4, the appearance of the suspended lamp device of this invention can be easily varied through change of the lamp shade 5 without replacing the lamp seat 2.
Figure 4 shows a variation of the suspended lamp device of the preferred embodiment, wherein the shapes of the lamp seat 2 and the lamp shade 5 are different from those shown in Figure 2.
