Abstract
Multi-ply anti-microbial laminate (preferably 0.5 mm thick) comprises peel-off microbial strips of polyester or polypropylene films (preferably 50 μm thick) containing anti-bacterial agents, stuck together with a low tack adhesive. The preferred films have tabs (alternating from side to side) to aid removal. When applied to a bin, bin lid, work top, work surface, sterile equipment, door push panels or other surface, it will provide protection against dirt and grime, protection against germs and reduce the build-up of germs. Utilising the peel-off tabs will make it simple to dispose of each peel-off strip and reduce the amount of time required to clean the surface to which multi-ply microbial laminate has been applied.
Description
DESCRIPTION
Multi-ply Microbial Laminate For many years kitchens, work places and hospitals have had to suffer food spills, build up of dirt and grime and of course germs. These areas are subject to constant cleaning. What I want to do is radica'ly reduce the amount of time it takes to clean a working surface and where possible employ a device that collects as much dirt and grime as possible as well as killing germs. I also want to be able to peel off a stnp so as to leave a clean surface underneath that requires very little or no cleaning.
Multi-ply Microbial Laminate is ideal for solving this problem as it will collect the majority of dirt and grime whilst killing genus and can be used for inside and outside use. This device is in affect a number of peel-off microbial strips manufactured from plastic films such as polyester or polypropylene.
Multi-ply Microbial Laminate solves the problem of dirt coflection and makes work surface cleaning much easier. This reduces the amount of time required for cleaning.
Due to the impregnation of the anti-bacterial agents, this will also dramatically reduce the build up of genus.
Multi-ply Microbial Laminate will be manufactured in packs of ten peel-off strips with tags for removing each strip. They are in affect layered strips of matenal such as polyester or polypropylene which are stuck together using a low tack/bond adhesive, making it easy to pee' off after use.
Multi-ply Microbial Laminate are as follows: Collects Dirt and Grime Anti-bacterial Disposable peel-off strips Reduces time required for cleaning Reduces cause of infection In reference to drawing A, Figure Al, this shows the layered approach to Multi-ply Microbial Laminate. It shows that using two peel-off tabs, you can alternate the build up of layers and subsequently make it easier to dispose of each peel-off strip.
In reference to drawing A, Figure A2, this shows a close up of the peel-off tab.
In reference to drawing A, Figure A3, this shows the location of the anti-bacteria' agent that kills germs that collect on the peel-off strip. A irnm margin is shown to illustrate the location of the agent to separate it from the strip, for illustration purposes only. The actual product will be sold with anti-bacterial agent impregnated to the edge of the strip.
In reference to drawing A, Figure A4, this shows a general side view of the product.
The thickness of each layer is expected to be approximately 50 microns, giving an overall product thickness of 0.5mm.
In reference to Drawing B, this shows a number of different variations of the product.
Drawing B, Figure BI shows medical or surgica' variant. This could be used in hospitak where work surfaces and equipment are required to be kept clean and free from germs at all times.
In reference to Drawing B, Figure B2, this shows the kitchen chopping board variant.
This variant will be supplied in different sizes and different colours to accommodate residential and commercial kitchens.
In reference to Drawing B, Figure B3, this shows the household kitchen moon' variant which wit! fit the majority of bin types. whether pedal, flat top or roller top.
In reference to Drawing B, this shows a number of different vanations of the product.
Drawing B, Figure B4 shows the commercial office bin ring' variant with a waste access point in the centre (a hole) and will come in several colours to co-ordinate with the associated bin type, Blue for re-cycling, Yellow for general waste, and other colours associated with metaL plastic, etc...
In reference to Drawing B, Figure B4, this shows the peel-off tabs located on each of the variants.
In reference to Drawing B, Figure B5, this shows the door push panel variant. This variant can be used in hospitals, schools, and the work place where doors are equipped with a push panel.
