Description
Cladding element for a storage area cover of a motor vehicle and covering assembly The invention relates to a cladding element for a storage area cover of a motor vehicle of the type specified in the preamble of claim 1. Furthermore, the invention relates to a cladding assembly with two cladding elements opposing each other on respective vehicle sides.
A generic cladding element for a storage area cover of a motor vehicle is known from ER 2 070 766 Al. A covering element for covering the storage area can be fixed to the cladding element on an associated support location.
Usually, motor vehicles have either a covering element formed as a roller blind or a covering element formed as a rear shelf for covering a storage area of the motor vehicle.
Herein, it is disadvantageous that usually corresponding cladding elements of the motor vehicle, to which such covering elements can be fixed, must be differently formed.
Therefore, it is the object of the present invention to provide a possibility, by which different covering elements can be attached to one and the same motor vehicle in particularly simple manner.
This object is solved by a cladding element for a storage area cover having the features of claim 1 as well as by a covering assembly having the features of claim 7. Advantageous developments with convenient and non-trivial further developments of the invention are specified in the dependent claims.
In order to provide a particularly variable cladding element for a storage area cover of a motor vehicle, it is provided in the cladding element according to the invention that the cladding element has at least two support locations for different covering elements. Thus, different types of covering elements can be used on one and the same motor vehicle, according to which type of covering element a user of the motor vehicle currently requires.
Furthermore, the variant variety in such cladding elements can be greatly reduced since covering element specific configurations or variants of cladding elements are no longer required. Further, it is possible that users of a motor vehicle optionally reorder different covering element types and are able to use them in one and the same motor vehicle or by means of one and the same cladding element.
An advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that the cladding element includes a rail for guiding a movement of the covering element formed as a roller blind starting from one of the support locations. Thereby, the covering element formed as a roller blind can be securely moved between a stowage position uncovering the storage area and a covering position, in which it covers the storage area.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that a fixing area for fixing the covering element formed as a roller blind is formed in a position covering the storage area in an end region of the rail. Thereby, the covering element formed as a roller blind can be fixed in the position covering the storage area in particularly simple manner.
In further advantageous development of the invention, it is provided that on the rail at least one further fixing area for fixing the covering element formed as a roller blind is formed in a position only partially covering the storage area of the motor vehicle. Thus, it is also possible to fix the covering element formed as a roller blind in at least one mid-position, in particular if only a portion of the storage area is to be covered, for example because parts partially protruding beyond the covering element are to be transported in the storage area.
A further advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that at least one of the support locations is formed in the form of a snap lock, to which a covering element formed as a rear shelf can be fixed. Thereby, such a covering element can be fixed to the support location and also again be removed from it in particularly simple manner such that the assembly and disassembly of such a covering element, respectively, proceed in particularly simple manner.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that at least one of the support locations is formed in the form of a rotation axis, around which a covering element formed as a rear shelf is rotatable. Thereby, the capability of assembly and the positioning of the covering element on the support location and thus also on the cladding element are particularly simplified.
The covering assembly according to the invention includes two cladding elements according to the invention opposing each other on respective vehicle sides or advantageous embodiments of the cladding elements according to the invention.
Further advantages, features and details of the invention are apparent from the following description of preferred embodiments as well as based on the drawing. The features and feature combinations mentioned above in the description as well as the features and feature combinations mentioned below in the description of figures and/or shown in the figures alone are usable not only in the respectively specified combination, but also in other combinations or else alone, without departing from the scope of the invention.
The drawing shows in: Fig. 1 a perspective view of a cladding element for a storage area cover of a motor vehicle, wherein the cladding element has several support locations for different covering elements; Fig. 2 a plan view of a backside and of a front side of a covering element formed as a rear shelf, which can be fixed to the cladding element shown in Fig. 1; Fig. 3 a plan view of a further embodiment of a covering element including a roller blind box, in which an extensible roller blind element for covering a storage area of a motor vehicle is accommodated, wherein this shown covering element can also be fixed to the cladding element according to Fig. 1; Fig. 4 a lateral view of the cladding element, wherein the covering element formed as a rear shelf is just assembled to the cladding element; Fig. 5 a further lateral view of the cladding element, wherein the covering element formed as a rear shelf is assembled to the cladding element; Fig. 6 a plan view of a covering assembly with two cladding elements opposing each other on respective vehicle sides according to Fig. 1, wherein the covering element formed as a rear shelf is disposed between these cladding elements and assembled thereto; Fig. 7 a perspective view of the cladding element, wherein the covering element formed as a roller blind shown in Fig. 3 is just fixed to the cladding element; and in Fig. 8 a plan view of an alternative embodiment of the covering assembly with the two cladding elements opposing on respective vehicle sides, wherein the covering element formed as a roller blind is assembled to the cladding elements.
In the figures, identical or functionally identical elements are provided with the same reference characters.
A cladding element 10 for a storage area cover of a motor vehicle is shown in Fig. 1 in a perspective view. In the present case, the cladding element 10 is formed as a plastic part and usually is attached to the body in white of the motor vehicle. In the present case, the cladding element 10 has three support locations 12, 14, 16, to which two different covering elements 18, 20, which are illustrated in Fig. 2 and 3, can be fixed.
In Fig. 2, the covering element 18 formed as a rear shelf is illustrated on the left in a rear view and on the right in a front view. In the present case, the covering element 18 includes two areas 22, 24, wherein the area 24 is foldable by 180° around a pivot axis 26.
On the covering element 18, respective fixing locations 28, 30 are provided, which are formed corresponding with the support locations 14, 16 of the cladding element 10, such that the covering element 18 can be fixed and assembled to the support locations 14, 16.
In Fig. 3, the covering element 20 formed as a roller blind is illustrated, wherein the covering element 20 includes a roller blind box 32 and a roller blind element 34, wherein a storage area of the motor vehicle can be covered by means of the roller blind element 34.
The covering element 20 also has corresponding fixing locations 36, which are formed corresponding with the support location 12, such that the covering element 20 can be correspondingly assembled and fixed to the cladding element 10.
In Fig. 4, the cladding element 10 is shown in a lateral view, wherein the covering element 18 formed as a rear shelf is just assembled to the cladding element 10. The fixing location 28 is formed substantially with a semi-circular cross-section and is moved towards the cladding element 10 in the direction denoted by the arrow 38, in order to attach the covering element 1810 the support location 14. Therein, the support location 14 is formed in the form of a rotation axis, around which the covering element 18 formed as a rear shelf is rotatable or pivotable as soon as the fixing location 28 has been attached to the support location 14.
As soon as the covering element 18 has been attached to the support location 14 with its fixing location 28, the covering element 18 is counterclockwise rotated in the presently shown illustration until the fixing location 30 has been attached to the support location 16.
Therein, the support location 16 is formed in the form of a snap lock, on which the fixing location 30 having a substantially circular cross-section can lock.
In Fig. 5, the cladding element 10 is again shown in a lateral view, wherein the cladding element 18 is assembled to the two support locations 14, 16. Subsequently, the upper area 24 of the covering element 18 can be rotated or folded counterclockwise by 1800 in the presently shown illustration such that a storage area not illustrated here can be completely covered by means of the covering element 18.
In Fig. 5, a covering assembly with two cladding elements 10 opposing each other on respective vehicle sides is illustrated, wherein the folded out covering element 18 assembled to the cladding elements 10, formed as a rear shelf is apparent.
In Fig. 6, in a perspective view, the cladding element 10 is again illustrated, wherein the only partially illustrated covering element 20 formed as a roller blind is just assembled to the cladding element 10.
The fixing location 36 includes a spring mechanism not illustrated here, by means of which the width of the covering element 20 can be reduced for a short time, such that the covering element 20 can be locked with its fixing locations 30 in the support location 12 and a here not illustrated opposing support location 12 of a further cladding part. By the spring force of the spring mechanism, the covering element 20 is securely retained within the support location 12 and the further support location 12 not illustrated here.
Starting from the support location 12, a rail 42 for guiding a movement of the roller blind element 34 of the covering element 20 extends on the cladding element 10. The roller blind element 34 can therefore be moved guided within the rail 42 between a stowage position and a covering position covering the storage area of a motor vehicle.
In an end legion 44 of the rail 42, a fixing area 46 for fixing the loller blind element 34 in a position covering the storage area is formed. Thus, the roller blind element 34 can be extended along the rail and hooked into the fixing area 36 such that a storage area of a motor vehicle is completely covered.
Further fixing areas for fixing the roller blind element 34 can also be provided on the rail 42 such that the roller blind element 34 can also be fixed in further positions along the rail 42.
In Fig. 7, in a plan view, a further covering assembly 48 is illustrated, wherein again two of the cladding elements 10 are disposed opposing each other on respective vehicle sides.
In the presently shown case, the covering element 20 formed as a roller blind is assembled to the two cladding elements 10, wherein the roller blind element 34 is completely extended and fixed to the respectively opposing fixing areas 35, such that a storage area of a motor vehicle is completely covered by means of the roller blind element 34.
Thus, different types of covering elements 18, 20 or else further other embodiments of covering elements can be fixed or assembled to one and the same cladding element 10.
Thus, it is possible to users of a motor vehicle to attach different types of covering elements 18, 20 to one and the same cladding element 10 according to application case.
