Sheet-registering devices.-Sheets are fed to a ruling-machine under the control of rising and falling stops 1 which are raised when a sheet is to be fed. The rising of the stops 1 is effected by the action of abutments 2<1>, 3<1>, 2, 4 mounted on a cam disc or wheel 5, on a shoe 7 carried by a lever 6 which is connected to the shaft of the stops 1. In order to determine whether one, two, three or no sheets are fed to the ruling-machine for each revolution, the shoe 7 is laterally adjustable on pins 8 and is held in adjusted position by a spring catch 9. This shoe is set so that it is engaged by the abutment 4 alone, or by the abutments 4 and 3, or 4, 2, 2<1>, or by none of the abutments. This permits one, two, or three sheets to be fed per revolution of disc 5, or prevents feed altogether. The abutment 3 is formed with a reduced portion 3<1>, in order to permit the shoe 7 to engage the short abutments 2, 2<1> and the long one 4 without engaging the abutment 3.
